WYXR's 6th Birthday!

And JB is pretty well known in the music circles and club circles.

And, you know, he's a DJ.

Well, he's a DJ, too.

And he also does the, what is that that you do with the record thing? Oh, scratching it up.

Scratching it up, baby.

You do that, too.

But he's also, now I want to make sure I get this right.

You're the operations manager? What are you?

Program manager.

He's the program manager here at WYXR.

And he's sitting with me right now.

That was the other voice that you just heard.

JB, first and foremost, good to see you.

Great to see you.

And congratulations, my friend, on six years.

How's it feel?

Well, congratulations are in order to you as well.

Chip, you've been with us since the very beginning.

To Brynn, to Lulu, to all of our friends who have helped to lift us up and to support us in varying ways.

A lot of them will be outside the window tonight, and we're excited each year that we can remember that.

On October 5th of 2020, we started this thing, took the paper off the window, and invited everyone in to listen to what WIXR might have in store.

And we are living six years down the line of that promise.

And so we're really excited that this has continued as an effort through 2020.

Lots of, lots of, lots of ups.

High, high, high in the sky ups, but also the occasional obstacle.
