Crosstown Concourse

Uh, sad news for you folks, uh, that like, uh, to, uh, head over to Crosstown Concourse for the Crosstown Brewing Company.

They're gonna be shutting down.

That's after eight years.

Have you noticed that a lot of these restaurants and these pubs, they don't, they don't tell you why they're shutting down, or they'll use an excuse.

They'll say, "Well, it's COVID." Well, COVID was a long time ago.

What the, the real reason is that people do not wanna go out to places like Crosstown Concourse because of the crime out there.

I mean, it's really that simple.

Crosstown Brewing Will close after eight years in business.

Almost nine years there on the west side of Crosstown Concourse.

They're gonna shut it all down, I believe this weekend will be Crosstober.

Yeah, Crosstown's, uh, their, their Oktoberfest, it'll, it'll also be the, uh, the going away party for Crosstown Brewing.

You know, this is a special occasion around here because it was six years ago on this date that WYXR hit the airwaves.

And yeah, so it's our sixth birthday celebration here at Crosstown Concourse.

And if you are...

Out and about, you're close by, you want to swing through.

It's a bit off the grid, so to speak, because we're celebrating the sixth anniversary of WYXR as a radio station.

And this is our anniversary tonight.

We're at the Crosstown Concourse.

And if you're running around out there and you decide to run in here, you'll see a whole bunch of folks standing in front of our big glass window with a happy anniversary sign out front.

I'll come up with the whole idea and I'll do it on behalf of you.

What was unique about the Crosstown Concourse is you had that Bloomberg-funded innovation delivery team, the late Tommy Pacello and some people

that worked around him

that knew how to go through a process and then knew how to get people together.

So there really is some legitimacy to all of this.

There's some folks who are saying, hey, well, you know, we can move forward.

Now, you use the example of this building that we're sitting in right now, Crosstown Concourse, which is a beautiful facility.

And what it was, from what it was to what it is now, it's just a day and night.

What else? Well, also tonight, it's Mid-Autumn Festival at Crosstown Concourse.

This is an annual festival.

It's for the Harvest Festival, which celebrates the end of the harvest.

Similar-ish event happening tomorrow and Sunday.

It's the Asian Night Market at AgriCenter International.

You may remember that this event was first held at Crosstown Concourse, and it was like a huge to-do, and then they moved it to Tire Lane.
