Andrew OlsenHostWell, as is often said, that's a great question because kind of a multifaceted situation.
As you can imagine, the number of people that I've met, I've met both extremely wealthy people and I've met people that are struggling day by day to pay their bills.
But I found that regardless of the amount of money that a person oversaw, I keep reminding people, you're just overseeing God's wealth.
And what decisions are you going to make and how to use that? I found that they had the same reasons to not be generous.
And so then I started doing some research and I was thinking, OK, what can I do to get people to understand principles that are biblical that they need to, in my opinion, lead their life by as it as it pertains to God's wealth? And I found that those principles were not very well taught, even in churches.
And I found early in my career, making a presentation before a board of elders, and I would say of the over 250 campaigns I've done, Andrew, every one of them has been based on those three principles from the very beginning up until today.
And an elder would raise his hand and say, Clark, would you repeat that second one? I'm trying to write these down.
And that just sent a message to me that the basic stewardship principles are just not taught.
And so then I started researching more and I found out, you know, up to 40% of Christians don't give a dime to anything.
Well, one, I wrote it and hopefully that ministers, pastors will use it in their churches and their Bible school classes.
