Well, firstly, mate, yeah, it put the fear of God into me because looking at my previous years of what I've done before Coastal High and Blackall 50, I was like, shit.

But, mate, actually, one of the biggest things I'll touch on was that I reached out to Tommy Brimlow before the recent UTA and sort of just was a bit of a pest online there just saying, mate, I want to get my time down.

And so I know he mentioned that you guys had a chat recently and touched back onto how he was cracking like 4,000 plus meter weeks.

So, you know, that planted the seed, Tom, to get me thinking that I need to do minimum 3,500, 4,000 a week.

Um, so that was sort of the first thing that got me, got me moving on a different training plan.

And, um, I know I'm dropping all the names here, but Vince Fletcher, also a guy that I look up to with what he's done in the past, him and Tom and, um, Vince was mentioning.

with his European race he did last year that he was cracking like 6,000 plus metres a week.

And I was just like, shit, I've got to really start thinking European in the mindset.

How do you find that? How do you find that amount of elevation on the Gold Coast and southeast Queensland? So what have you been doing? Where have you been going to get these big numbers?

So, yeah, that undulating hill and then Strawberry Hill sort of being the biggest climb and then hanging rock at the end if you really do the kilometers.

That was how I progressed into just getting my leg strength up to then go and sort of knuckle into some steeper climbs around the place.

And, you know, I'd heard that the pollies and that wild cattle loop was the place to go.

You know, just make sure I'm not going to do a soleus and a calf and that stuff that I can do.

And then start to go and really hit those longer climbs and descents which are in that region.

So, yeah, it's a bit of a drive, not that much of a drive, half an hour for me, but...
