Number one, keep in mind you're not allowed to prepare anything from the first day of Rosh Hashanah to the second day.

Even though it's called a Yom HaRichtah, the bottom line is it has the severity of the isser of preparing one day to the next.

We're not going to go into many details about this, but just be careful not to start any obvious preparations until after Tzeis HaKechavim of the second night.

That means if you're going to somebody for the Sudah, or going to a different place from Myrev during the afternoon, you should not be carrying things that are going to be specifically only be used at night, because then you're preparing from one day to the next.

This year, with regards to carrying, it doesn't make much of a difference, because we can't carry anyway, because it's Shabbos Kedesh.
