W-what is, [chuckles] what is going on here? That on Leil Hoshana Rabbah, you have to check if you have a shadow? But that's what it says, and that's part of the reason that the original Minig was the Lomar Tikunim Ad Chatos, to learn at night, so that people shouldn't go outside and see if they have a shadow.

It doesn't appear in the Chumash, but in the Sefer Ha'abodah Mekubalim, there's a great emphasis, "Ari yesho'ag mi lo yira elo rosh hashana yom hakipurim," Hay is Hoshana Rabbah.
That's the day the Torah says that the, the email gets sent for what's gonna be the coming year.
