Now, a lot of this buzz out there is really the result of some posts by Brit Siva, who is a person I don't know personally, but I respect her.

And I have no intention of discrediting her, her team or her work or her methodologies by any means.

And I have no stake in this.

We don't have a branded compensation system, nor will we.

We don't have some turnkey system and we won't.

We won't have a branded turnkey compensation system because in my experience in compensation design over about the last 30 years, I haven't seen something that applies to every salon.

So...

And we have nothing to sell.

So, and my source of information, full disclosure, is just posts as well as a podcast.

And so I don't have all the information.

So I give the benefit of the doubt of the creator of this program.

And again, it's really our comments, really our perspective on compensation.

And for the record, I very much welcome innovation when it comes to compensation.

I think it's an area that innovation is needed.

At the same time, I have some major red flags that go up.

And that was the reason why we decided to do this episode, even though we never really directly speak to any other posts or whatever, and don't really get involved in industry controversy, whatever, and really respect several different points of view.

So I'm going to take this a few different steps at a time here.

First of all, I'm going to talk about my experience and share a little story with you to give a little perspective.
