You need a delightfully unserious routine. Here's why. We live in an age where we're encouraged to become so optimized that we can take ourselves out of whimsy and joy. But I don't believe we should…
And some of you might not know I am into that, but like drop into my house on a casual, random, ordinary Tuesday, and you are gonna see me call it 7.30, 8 p.m. after my kids have already gone down.
And you might be thinking like spells, like, girl, what are you talking about? The words we speak, the words that are inside our brains are cast a spell.
And when I have my little rituals and these little delightful, whimsical things that I do, nobody needs that.
When did it become a crime to enjoy things, to get excited about things, to be about it? I guess my biggest point is lean in to the unbridled joy of doing things.
I would move into the Practical Magic house, Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, call me, and I genuinely feel like we reach a certain age and we become so optimized that we take ourselves out of the joy of whimsy and play.
