Daniel sits down with Cyndy Velez, one of Central Florida's leading luxury real estate professionals to uncover the mindset, work ethic, and people skills behind more than £150 million in sales…
So when you got into the real estate side of it, what was the first company you worked for?
My daughters at the time were late elementary, early middle school, and I was working in mortgage.
I was a lot of hours ahead, a position that I had a lot of travel, a tremendous amount of responsibility for a number of people, north of 50 people.
And I just, I felt that I wanted to do something where I could still help people and still utilize my skills, but be more present for my family.
And so I made the transition and it was, it was great, but it was literally the worst time ever to make the transition because it was right smack in the middle of the housing crisis.
I mean, I definitely got into real estate from a career transition type of thing.
But I did appreciate that it gave me more flexibility than what I had with mortgage.
But it does and it doesn't, right? So maybe I was able to be a little bit more present and go to my daughter's cheerleading practices and help coach, but then I'm working on weekends and I'm working nights.
