When they got bought out and they really slimmed the line down there and they came out with the P, it standardized a lot of parts for the 2011 for people to start looking at as a standard, right? And there were those of us who had been building guns, 2011 style guns before that.

And we were standardizing on our own, but on a mass scale, right, for the mass general public, Staccato did an excellent job right from the gate when they brought the P out of standardizing those parts and sticking to some fairly good measurements.

You know, I've measured dozens and dozens of staccatos, as well as pretty much every other maker of 2011 on the market for the 1911 University page.

And one thing I find really refreshing, specifically, and I'm not just saying this because Chris is sitting here with us, but across the board, among the peas, they're very consistent with their measurements.

But for their flagship pistol, the P, at least that's what I consider it, it's a very consistent gun.

We don't get guys... saying, hey, can you take a look at my P because it's not running? We never hear that.

We hear that about other brands like the Springfield, whatever that thing is, the DS.

People don't believe that they go, well, you know, a 2011 style guns, a 2011 style gun.

It's not, you know, so, but yeah, the mags, the mags in large part, and we still don't, I still won't build one in 45, even though Adrian makes an excellent 45 mag.

He may have already talked about this, but the issue that I've seen, and I've built some wide bodies in 45, obviously, but the issue is with a ramped barrel and a double stack mag, the round wants to feed off to the side when it comes out.

If you do it with a non-ramped barrel, right? If you do it with a standard frame, you put a standard 45 barrel in there, they work fine most of the time.

But if you try using a ramped barrel, because it's a staggered mag and it comes out on the side, it just doesn't work well.
