But I went to the museum and in the cold thing of preparing for this morning is looking through all of the notes and all of the material that they have of like the log books of the meetings that the Presbyterians had.

And it was kind of cold to see that we are actually just in this talent initiative carrying on what is an incredible legacy of ordinary men and women Being really creative, doing a great job of raising money, of doing things to fund the mission that we all know that we're on.

One of the events on July 10th, after the first service, there was a soiree at the Walkworth Town Hall held by the church, which was an evening meal and it had a concert at the end.

One of the events noted in it was that Mrs. McKinney, so Reverend McKinney was the longest serving Oh, no, but of the Presbyterian? Yeah, 49 years.

Well, his wife, for part of the reign, she brought a whole bunch of Irish shawls with her from Ireland and they sold them and at the time made 30 pounds.

Angela, what are you doing? They did things like selling pews where you could buy a pew for three pounds or an individual seat for a dollar.

But isn't it lovely to know as we look back, so much has changed, but so much is still the same.

You know, we are all called, as they were called, to use their creativity, use their initiative to fund the mission that we've all been invited into.

And so while now it gives us the rundown on our talent initiative, we just wanted to put some old photos that I got at the museum of some of the history of this place.
