Melinda ThomasGuestJess RonaGuestIt's a little old, but I was trying to find some fun back to school related stories about people with animals.
And I found this older story on the Dodo where they write all about things with people and animals.
And this story dates all the way back to 2018, but I think it's still relevant and fun and cute.
But it's about a, at the time, 13-year-old girl named Savannah who started middle school and had a rooster named Frog, which already we're off to a great start.
Had a very incredible bond with this rooster, which I think is adorable for a child.
And then went off to middle school where now she's going and taking the bus and being away all day.
She would literally walk, the rooster just walks to her side, clucks around all day, and then would hear the bus coming back and would go to the end of the driveway and wait for Savannah to get off the bus to greet her on her way back home.
I chose this story because I think we see this all the time with dogs and cats waiting for, I call it the primary person, waiting for the primary person to get home.
There are all sorts of animals that could form meaningful bonds and relationships with us.
There's one of her walking with the rooster in like her hoodie, like in the back.
