I wanted to start this off, our little recap episode, by asking some questions of the players.
From the DM to the players.
One of my biggest curiosities from my seat, after I edit these episodes, we all record it together, I usually have some idea in my mind of what I want it to sound like.
And at this point, like at the end of the campaign, when I have my entire soundscape already established, I can almost hear it in my head what song I'm going to use when we're doing certain things.
So my question to all of you is, when we're playing at the table...
And then you later listen back and hear it as a finished product.
Does it sometimes feel completely different than it did at the table or it's like a complete mood shift or you didn't see what I was going for or anything like that?
I think for me, it's crazy the change.
It just like fleshes out.
Because when we're playing at the table, I feel like it's much more like I'm just in it with my friends, right? Like we're just listening to each other.
We're having a good time usually.
And I don't really think about the other elements necessarily.
But then when I listen back live, or not live, but when I listen back to the edited version, I think it's really cool because I feel like the world is more there with the sounds and the music and everything.
all of the special effects you do on our voices and things like that.
So to me, it just feels like the more complete version, I guess, that it's really fun to get to listen back.
But I never have felt like, whoa, I didn't think it was going to be like that.
I feel like the tone seems really connected to me most of the time.
It only really enhances it.
I think I get so lost in preparing what I'm going to do next that I don't have time to fully think about.
Totally.
So when you add your own Tim touch, it just –
Tim's touch.
It makes it like a fully immersive world then listening back, which is cool.
Like being able to actually listen to it rather than, like you said, being focused on your next move kind of thing.
Like I always have a visual like mental image of how everything is going.
