So dear friends, today is the feast of St. Bartholomew.

What's often interesting, something I've often remarked, I think, in the past, that when it comes to the 12 apostles, these pillars on which the church is built, according to Scripture itself, these 12 cornerstones, when it comes to some of them, very little is known about them.

So these men who walked with Jesus, who Jesus taught personally, and who were the first evangelizers, first bishops, there are some that we know very little about.

St. Bartholomew is one of those.

So we don't know very much about him.

His other name is Nathanael, so that's why the Gospel from today speaks about Nathanael, who is Bartholomew, same person.

Okay, so what's interesting about his life is that he goes on mission to modern-day India, and...

some success and then he's killed he's flayed to death which means just peeled like his skin is just taken off it's horrific an awful way to go uh so Okay, so he gives his life for the Lord.
