When you're old enough | Ep.1

Number one is when you read the Bible.

Read it once or twice before you highlight something.

This is something, it's kind of like I've been, you know, sometimes we get into that, I have to read my devotions and study.

First of all, I've actually separated my praying time from the time I read the Bible.

So I actually found this out from a great man called Pastor James.

And so he actually doesn't actually, to my knowledge, doesn't do his Bible studying in the morning.

So before I used to combine it all, like, let me pray and worship.

But then you just like you get so, you know, life happens.

You don't always have that much time.

And so you feel like a failure because you didn't do everything that you usually do.

So in the morning, since it's really just like a relationship, a conversation with God, like I am at the stage of my life in a relationship.

If I just did stuff straight away with Ricky, it doesn't seem like a natural relationship.

But if I talk to her first thing in the morning, it kind of seems we don't live together.

Just making that clear.

We don't live together.

But you know, you get what I mean.

You want to talk to someone first.

So that's why I'm praying first.

And so I start off with prayer separate from the Bible time.

But my point with the Bible reading is, you know, so many tangents.

You know how my brain works.

Hopefully you're not the same.

Is that read it first before you highlight.

I want you to read it first before you highlight.

Because if you highlight while you read, you'll highlight everything.
