The Dub - Tearing up dreams

We're just gonna park the Huddersfield game for a moment, uh, and get to not one, but two deals done after the 11 o'clock deadline on Tuesday.

The outgoing one first of all.

Brandon Kiersmacker has joined Stan Mills in exiting the club.

Uh, he's gone on loan with an option to Bristol City.

A player, Jerome, who's not actually played a competitive football match since January, and now he's gone out on loan.

He's not played a non-competitive football match as far as I'm aware [laughs] since-

[laughs]

...

since January.

And now he's got-

Maybe, maybe on the beach on holiday or something.

I don't know.

But-

Maybe.

Maybe.

This was done so late, it actually was announced on Wednesday.

And s- yeah, just some really interesting stuff that's come out of it.

That Kiersmacker quoted as saying that he spoke to the manager of Bristol City weeks ago.

Um, this deal, I think we all knew had been kind of bubbling under for a little bit, but it's all been caught up in the Oxford United transfer embargo.

I think the timing is really interesting, right up against the wire.

The structure of the deal is really interesting.

A loan, not a permanent move.

Perhaps understandable when you quote the, the stat that you just did about how long it is since he played, and Bristol City might wanna try before you buy because they do have an option to sign him.

That Kiersmacker never really got his feet under the desk at Oxford United at all.

He produced a really good performance for United in the win at Ashton Gate last season, and soon was injured.
