I have a question you could potentially talk about on the pod I've always been curious about this from a brand perspective and because you do influencing I would like to know also so basically we've wanted to talk about this for a while obviously so they're talking about the beneficial and purpose of influencing and packaging and pure and all that stuff so she basically said obviously I get the exposure side of being sent to influencers but you know what Ruby you just read it
it's too much

my heart's going like it's okay it's okay everyone has their strengths and weaknesses when I was in

not a strong leader and I was really good in school so like it was fine for me but Abby was a little bit bold so

that's why obviously I get the exposure side of it and that influence have an audience who might see the products and then potentially buy them but I've always wondered about the other side of it too why send free stuff to someone who has money to buy it themselves particularly if they haven't actually spent money with the brand before whereas regular customers are paying for the products every time and don't really ever get anything back I know you do loads of giveaways and as influencers yourself receive a lot of PR so you probably have a really interesting perspective from both sides I genuinely love to hear your thoughts on whether the return for a brand is actually worth the amount they give away and what brands are hoping to get back from it Absolutely no hate behind this.

I'm genuinely just curious and low-key jealous of the amount of free stuff influencers get and wish I had the balls to do what you do.

We wanted to talk about this, but we didn't know how to get into it without us kind of bringing it forward first.

I think it's as... that person said is like we're on obviously both sides of it so like we do get sent things but also we are a brand so we understand it yeah I would say personally from us we aren't a heavy gifter brand like we don't gift a lot to influencers and that's no hate on influencers at all it's just we haven't not needed to but like to be fair that's kind of how Bound started like right back at the start we gifted to like OG influencers like Lexi Ava Donoghue Ellie Kelly that's literally how we grew like I met Ellie Kelly one day and scary yeah

we were all on the harbour actually and this was an Ellie and Connor were still together and we were like oh my god there's Ellie and Connor and we were drunk and we were like Abby you need to go up we need to send

address I'll never forget the video Ellie Kelly did for us like I remember being on my phone literally in Pavilion and like I think we got thousands of followers off her like from posting like she did a full like real video of like talking through all the pieces and like helped us so much so like we did gift but like also we were a small brand we didn't have

stock like to be gifting all the time and now as we are growing bigger we do gift but we also are very conscious of giving back to people who follow us or like support us and stuff like that so we do giveaways we did our customer event where we gave 30 track seats away to our top 30 customers so like I think when you have what we have it's

we're very on the ball of like very on the ball with I think including our customers as well as influencers and influencers as well and often like obviously we're friends with influencers through our jobs as well but like we it's not that we just gift them because we want to give them as friends yeah if like if gifting to influencers is a marketing thing it's an exposure thing yeah And like, obviously, like that's what I mean, like for Bound, it really helped kick Bound off at the very beginning.
