Power Has a Price: When Secrets Become Deadly Weapons with Author DL Cary

My guest today on the Online for Authors podcast is DL Cary, author of the book Maria's Shadow. D.L. Cary – Christian Suspense & Clean Thriller Author Author Bio. D.L. Cary writes faith-driven Christian suspense and clean thriller novels that fuse pulse-pounding intrigue with uplifting themes of redemption, justice, and hope. His debut series, The Veil Chronicles, gives fans of inspirational fiction, redemptive suspense, and spiritual thrillers a front-row seat to covert conspiracies and spiritual warfare— delivered in a page-turning, family-friendly style that never relies on profanity or graphic violence. Rooted in Alabama, D.L. has spent 27 years married to his best friend, Heile, and shares their home with a rambunctious squad of pets. He credits his creativity to his faith and readers who crave values-driven stories where justice prevails, and hope endures.   In my book review, I stated Maria's Shadow is a domestic thriller by DL Cary. If you enjoy books with powerful secret entities that keep dirt on all the players from elected officials to presidents of companies, then you are going to love this book.   We quickly meet a young woman from Mexico who thinks she is leaving her home for a better life. However, she finds herself part of a human trafficking ring - and pregnant. Despite a narrow escape, nothing is safe for Maria because the Saffron Veil has eyes and ears everywhere.   Detective John Jefferson and his FBI buddy, Special Agent Marcus Carter, find themselves embroiled in Maria's plight - and that of many others just like her. But like Maria, John and Marcus soon realize that whoever is behind the trafficking ring has people in high places - high enough to get them killed.   This is a fast moving story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. This is the first in a series, so there will be a lot more action to keep you interest!   Subscribe to Online for Authors to learn about more great books! https://www.youtube.com/@onlineforauthors?sub\_confirmation=1   You can follow Author DL Cary Website: https://dlcarywrites.com/ IG: david.cary.988 FB: david.cary.988 LinkedIn: David Cary   Purchase Maria's Shadow on Amazon: Paperback: https://amzn.to/4woRSvh Ebook: https://amzn.to/4xxnAan   Teri M Brown, Author and Podcast Host: https://www.terimbrown.com FB: @TeriMBrownAuthor IG: @terimbrown\_author X: @terimbrown1   Want to be a guest on Online for Authors?
