find out a little bit more about the league over the next journey and, yeah, go from there.
Now, Bryce, what we just said off the top, we were a little bit worried about how long it took.
When did Yarrawonga make contact with you? When did this process start to join the Pigeons?
I actually had a bit of a mutual friend of ours who I coached in the Benio Interleague with, He reached out to me, Tiggy Downie, who coaches Kangaroo Flats.
And then, yeah, chats went from there and, uh yeah started it yeah it'd be an honor to even have the conversation with such a big club like yarrawonga but it was more around i don't know how this is going to work with family work all that sort of stuff and then parked a little bit and then yeah had the good chat with the wife and tried to make it work and my heart was in the job from yeah zave zave did a really good job right from the start and you know sold the culture the club the development of it and You know, the fact that all three grades made finals and, you know, we're trying to take the next step, that was something that's been super attractive to myself and then I probably knew I wanted the job for a while and it was just probably more working out what, you know, kinder and daycare look like for our kids and is that the right time of our life to do something a bit different, what my work looks like, what Amy's work looks like, you know, what the football commitment would look like, what housing would look like.
A million things to work out and one I'm super grateful for their commitment to progressing with it and making it happen and also to my wife, to my work, to people around the club that have made it such an easy transition so far.
