A game for the ages as OU football beats Texas and reclaims the golden hat

Certainly, um, you know, I think just the way that it went down, Josh, uh, you knew that Oklahoma was gonna need to do some, uh, different things if Oklahoma wanted to, uh, stay in the game on Saturday.

And lo and behold, they get a 48-yard field goal from Tate Sandell at the buzzer, just the second time in program history that Oklahoma wins on a walk-off at the buzzer.

Just an incredible day on Saturday.

I can't imagine what it was like taking it in.

Uh, I am...

There, there are certain games, Eddie, where I am just always jealous of you guys getting to be there and be part of it, and this was absolutely one of those moments.

Um, just watching [laughs] this, I, I...

You know, I was sitting on my back patio.

We had some friends over that were watching the game, and it was...

It, again, like you could feel the mom- Like, there's certain times in that game when you can feel the crowd even coming through the TV.

The, the reaction to the Peyton Bowen interception is one of the loudest times I've ever heard that stadium.

Again, coming through a television, but you're like, wow, I...

You feel, you could feel that, like, something was happening on the field.

Just incredible, uh, pop inside the stadium.

And then Parker, you were down on the field with me.

It just...

I've never heard...

I, I think I told George before the game, I think this was my 24th consecutive OU Texas-

Mm

... outside of COVID obviously.

Nobody...

I, I didn't go down there during COVID.

Actually watched that one from home, uh, the four overtime game that Oklahoma ended up winning.

But that was one of the loudest pops.

Maybe similar to '21 when, uh, Caleb and Marvin Mims had the breakaway.
