Golf Greats in NBA Terms: Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, John Daly & More

Well, you know, we put together a list of PGA players and golfers, and Roy and I put together our separate list of NBA counterparts.

So let's jump in and get started.

First up, we have obviously kind of the benchmark of the GOAT.

We have Tiger Woods.

For our listeners who don't know who Tiger Woods is, he has won 15 majors and 82 tour wins, which is tied for most ever with Sam Snead.

He has won the Tiger Slam, which is holding four major titles simultaneously.

Roy, do you have anything else to add about this Tiger Woods character?

At one point he won a major by 15 shots, which I think nobody has come close to, or I don't think anybody has even sniffed that at this point.

So yeah, that's, that's pretty respectable.

Yeah.

And, you know, he's also had a bit of, you know, scandals following him throughout his career as well.

And so, well, why don't I start? This might be a shocker, but my comparison to Tiger Woods, Alex, for your consideration, is Mr.

Michael Jordan.

And I feel that...

Very similar to Tiger, they really changed the game in terms of popularity, both in the States as well as internationally.

But the main thing I think is also the personality.

They're like both very intensely competitive, intimidating, right? NBA players called Michael Black Jesus, right? And so he had that like fear in him.

And I think Tiger had the exact same thing.

So I think there is no other right answer other than Michael Jordan for this comparison.

You don't want to consider LeBron for...

I'm just kidding.

Please do not cancel me, internet.

Yeah, I mean, this one's pretty straightforward

one.

I think we can move on.
