Inshallah, in today's khutbah, I'd like to share with you a very famous phrase of the Quran, an axiom.

Um, it's very powerful, and I think the way to appreciate this phrase, I'd like to do two things in this khutbah.

One is to provide a little bit of context where Allah mentions it, where Allah mentions this phrase.

And the second thing I'd like to do is talk about one of the ways we can think about how to apply this phrase.

So sometimes we learn these lessons and wisdoms in the Quran, these guidances in the Quran, and it's hard for us to think about where do we practically apply it.

So it's not possible to talk about all the possible applications, but at least we'll talk about one or two of them in the course of this khutbah.

And my intention is that I, myself, and all of you benefit from the wisdom that Allah has given us in his book.

So the phrase that I want to talk to you about is alladhina amanu wa tatma'innu qulubuhum bizikrillahi.

Those of the-- those who believe and those who believe, and their hearts become calm by re- the remembrance of Allah.

You should know that only and exclusively by the remembrance of Allah, hearts become calm.

And notice in this ayah, even though it's a simple concept, by remembering Allah, hearts become calm.

Allah mentioned the remembrance of Allah twice, and Allah mentioned the calmness of the heart twice.

So this is called itnab in the-- in Arabic, to echo something, to repeat something.

Allah doesn't speak more than needs to be said, not less than needs to be said.
