A girl by the name of Holly Burns and about a dozen other girls walked away from a cross-country race in Washington on Tuesday, refusing to compete against a male athlete who had started the season racing on the boys' team, uh, did poorly, and so decided to instead compete against girls.

All he had to do, because of leftists and Democrats, is say, "Uh, I'm a girl now." When the race began, half of the girls competing and the male athlete took off running.

Burns and the other half of the girls slowly walked forward past the starting line and then into the nearby tree line, sacrificing one of the high school competitions.

Footage of the protest has gone viral across social media, igniting widespread awareness for one of the trans athlete incidents occurring plaguing Washington State.

Uh, for, uh, for Burns, a Carmen High School female runner, the decision to protest was reinforced by strength in numbers.

Her parents, Kevin and Sarah Burns, telling OutKick their daughter initially wanted to avoid making waves, saying, "She wanted to kind of play it safe, so we, we weren't going to push it.

We just kind of let her feel it out.

We told her that we supported her, whatever decision that she tried to make, but then her teammates began talking.

The girls shared their concerns.

They decided to act together, and her parents backed her." She said, or Kevin, the father, said, "The more I heard about her friends wanting to do something, the more I heard about her team wanting to do something.

We definitely were in support of that.

We told her we do what you think is best." Uh, uh, let me tell you one of the things that's important about this because it is where the Democrats have really had an impact, and it was the fact that at first this girl wanted to keep her mouth shut, did not wanna stand up for herself because she didn't wanna be attacked by the left.
