yeah so i mean along with the update like yoshi did come out and and and talk about like where the game is headed and so i think a lot of people have had questions about you know like where's deadlock headed like what's gonna happen and some of the things that weren't included in this update that was like uh very much speculated to be included like like a pve mode for example none of that stuff made it into this update so here's just a little note if you haven't read this yet i'm just gonna read it to you guys and we'll talk about it for a minute this won't take very long and then we'll jump right into the update so It says, we also wanted to take this opportunity to talk about where we are with the development of the game and what to look forward to in the future.
Our team has been incredibly happy and surprised with how passionate and supportive the community has been the past couple of years.
Buddy, that is incredibly true, man.
Oh my gosh, it was insane.
anyway and then it goes on to say uh every day someone shares something cool uh they've seen from the community with the rest of the team and we're thankful for the constant support and useful feedback despite the game being unfinished we think building a multiplayer game is very hard and risky definitely is brother uh and the best way to minimize that risk is to make sure that we are able to have it in players hands from an early state to help us shape it and tell us what is fun and what isn't so here's the important part right here i think so we wanted to give you all more insight into what we've been focusing on internally as a part of developing in the game with it, with your help and guidance.
So after the old gods, new blood update, we felt that there was still a good amount of work we wanted to do on the core game itself before we moved on to more polished phases of the game development.
So that means things like updating older hero artwork.
So we didn't get that with this update either.
We'll talk about that a little bit a little bit later, but there are no updated hero models.
But it does say that, you know, they're going to do that, obviously.
So unlike working on several different things in parallel and it goes on to say a good number of those things that you can see in today's update, some others are things we've been working on in the last few months alongside this update.
This even includes things like progression and hero hideout customizations, which would be sick, dude.
as we feel those are features we want to be able to adjust and significantly change based on feedback before the game is fully released i can't wait for those that's going to be awesome uh there are also other things we've worked on recently that are more speculative as in we aren't 100 sure if they're going to be released or not based on how the play testing goes Though results so far have been promising, like large item redesigns, additions, and alternate game modes that expand the scope of the game.
So I would assume that is probably talking about a PvE mode because like expanding the scope of the game to me sounds like Sounds like PBE, right? I mean, if you're going to expand, I guess it could be a number of things.
I guess it could be like a 3v3 map or other things.
That's not really scope.
How is that
changing the scope? Yeah, exactly.
It's like, oh, now it's 3v3.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's the same, same thing.
It's just, it's not expanding the scope.
