What’s the difference between being seen and being consumed? In this episode of Bare-ly Curious, Naomi Gale asks whether more naturist spaces, where bodies are visible, ordinary and not for sale…

Yeah, I never try to be too feminist with the terminology because I'm struggling with the term feminism.

But essentially, I want to speak to a few things around the gays and OnlyFans and how gymnosophy kind of fits into that.

So first of all, most want you to think about, you know, how amazing these spaces are to feel seen rather than consumed.

So, a picture, let's picture this, yeah? A woman's on the beach, she's in late September, she's like 53, she's got a C-section scar, soft belly, breasts that are fed to children, she's naked, she's reading a paperback, and nobody's looking at her.

And I want to today ask whether the more we have of the first, the less we need of the second.

Because that is part of how they make money and sometimes even survive in this world.

I'm wondering, in Barely Curious, that let's wonder what this all means in today's world and why being seen... feels very different to being consumed and why sometimes we're consumed when actually we just want to be seen and so on and so forth.
