At first, you usually talk about Canada, Australia, the US, but in this episode, we're going to talk about the Philippines, which is probably the first we've ever done this, right? But I think the Philippines, we've never touched it in previous

The problem, as I remember it, is that only one company is active in the Philippines.

uh and but but but you can you know we could bore you all day with you know the geology but geology seems to be really good for natural hydrogen in the philippines and this is also an area where you have had a lot of accidental discoveries hydrogen seeping and they have quite some time ago being one of the first countries to hand out uh licensing uh areas and coloma has I think, gotten most of it, if not all of them.

But the news coming out from the Philippines Department of Energy is that Colombo is now preparing to do the seismic work that would put them in a position to be drilling at end of the year.

I don't know for sure if that means they will actually drill, but we know they've drilled quite a few wells and have the money to do it.

Maybe that could actually mean that Philippines would move right up there with Australia and Canada to be some of the most advanced.

Maybe, you know, every time you drill, there's a chance you find something really interesting.

Maybe being one of the first places where it can have something that can be deemed commercial.

And regarding those licenses, this was a bid, if I'm not mistaken, to see who would get them.

And more recently, as recently as the end of July, actually, they got a third expiration contract.

And they've announced that they are going to be drilling soon, which is, Pretty impressive because now we know they will be drilling in the Philippines.

They will have multiple locations around the world, either through Coloma or through their subsidiaries like Coloma Australia and Cabinex in Canada.

So that's going to be a great thing to watch as the months go on, if they release information.

It could be, you know, and being inexperienced in the rules of Philippines exploration, you know, we can't say for sure, but it's likely that they will have to announce something as it is a very, you know, official program set up.
