But just as I showed in the beginning of this podcast episode, and I'm gonna try to not cry when talking about things.
I, I, I've been crying the whole freaking weekend now, man, my good- oh, my gosh.
Remembering Pac.
I think that's where this would be best to start off at, just remembering the late, great Pac, Adrian Neville, Neville, Benjamin Saddler, however you may have known the person.
Um, this weekend he sadly did pass away at the age of 40.
It was literally the day after All Out, and it sucked, man.
It sucked.
I'm not gonna lie to you.
Um, it's such a weird thing to me.
I've been, like, just wrapping my head around this, like, the entire time of, like, just my feelings towards somebody that I literally never met a day in my life.
Like there's, like I s- I would've loved to have met Pac or would've loved to been able to watch Pac in person.
It's just, it's crazy how much this actually has just really messed with me in, like, a way that I did not think that it was going to, that, that, that I didn't think this could ever do.
Like, somebody that I don't know, that I don't know personally passing away affected me in a way that, like, I really had to kind of just step away from things and just take a break from everything.
I really had to like, you know, just kind of sit down and, like, collect my thoughts in a sense, and I remember when it did happen, I was just-- I was getting out of the shower and I just hopped on Instagram.
I was about to go cook and everything, and I just hopped on Instagram and I'm like, I'm like, s- I don't even know why I just hopped on Instagram, and the first thing I see, AEW remembers Benjamin Sad- I'm like, "Bro, there's no way." I'm like, "There's no w-" I'm like, "You..." I'm like, "They had to have been hacked." F- uh, run o- if I say fly over to Twitter, run over to Twitter, and I'm just, I see it again and I'm like, "Nah, bruh, this gotta be a hack, bruh.
This gotta be a..." I'm like, this is not real.
It d- literally just seen the man wrestle, and then it's just, [clears throat] the news starts breaking that, I mean, well, not news starts breaking, but, like, a bunch of wrestlers just start posting things, and more and more things get posted.
I'm just like, "Yeah, okay, it's real.
It's real." And it, it, it, it, it still didn't really even hit me until, I think until after Dynamite, to be honest, which absolutely beautiful Dynamite.
Shout out to everybody that went out there and performed.
We all said it within the AEW community, that these guys could've took the week off, and not a single one of us is mad at all.
If they wanted to say, "You know what, guys? We lost a Butcher.
We are going through this Rebel stuff.
We j- we, and we lost Pac.
Guys, we cannot go out there perform for y'all.
