Morning Bru with Jaffe & Razor
Sep 28, 2026 · 1 hr 7 min · 15 segments
In this episode, Jaffe & Razor preview the Bruins’ 2026-27 season and talk through the biggest questions heading into opening night. They discuss David Pastrnak being named the 28th captain in…
All right, Razor, neither of us should be surprised David Pasternak was named captain, right? We agree with that?
Would you agree with this statement a year and a third ago? when the team came out of the Four Nations break and the team was decimated.
And David Poschnok, all he did was literally put the team on his shoulders at times during there.
But in particular, after the Four Nations, where the team was really, I mean, they were out of it.
For me, that was where I felt like this was the birth of a captain in the making.
He was a true pro when he didn't need to be or didn't have to be through that brutal stretch.
He showed up every night, talked to everybody every night, said the right things most of the time, and just worked through it.
I felt for a dismal year, and we don't want to go back to that, that the Bruins had to go through or suffered through, and their fans did.
He was the real – one of the major shining – maybe the only major shining point to the season there with, again, over 100 points.
And I just think that's where – I felt like there was a little bit of a change in my take on David.
I think we talked about it on the air the other night, right? On the post-game show, the right call.
And I mean, I think he's, right here, right now, the absolute best player to lead this team.
