Rachel and Callie break down the ‘Summer House’ finale, from Kyle desperately chasing Amanda around one last party, to Ciara giving Amanda the tough-love intervention she probably needed three summers ago. Plus: Lindsay and Carl somehow achieve the impossible … a normal conversation? Then it’s straight into Bravo’s newest chaos, ‘In The City,’ where Kyle and Amanda’s breakup timeline gets messier, Danielle may or may not have committed the most diabolical post-breakup crime imaginable, and everyone in Manhattan is either moving in too fast, having a baby, or denying rumors. They also recap ‘The Valley’ in approximately 14 seconds because Danny remains exhausting.Host: Rachel LindsayGuest: Callie CurryProducer: Belle RomanEditor: Jon RoemerSocial Producer: Sasha Ashall, Richard TinocoTheme Song: Devon RenaldoSource for all photos: Getty ImagesShop for Activia near you at www.activia.us.comSix all new McCafé drinks are here. Welcome to Morally Corrupt.
I am Rachel Lindsay.
She is Callie Curry.
Callie, let's get into it.
We don't have any time to waste.
We got the Summer House finale.
We got the premiere of In the City, and The Valley.
We'll, we'll see what we get to, 'cause we got a lot to cover.
Um, okay.
We've seen a lot come out with the previews for the reunion, and I think that most people would love to skip the finale and just go straight to it.
But the finale gave us some things, some things that I hope that are thoroughly discussed at the reunion, and a lot of that centers around the lies they tell.
Mandy and West, the lies that both of them go out of their way...
And I can't necessarily say, 'cause of what I said last week, that they were doing it for the purposes of each other or if that's just who they are as people.
The way we see West telling Ben one thing or somebody else in the house one thing, and then being a completely different way with Ciara.
The conversation we see Amanda having with Kyle at the very end, even the way that she just avoids Kyle all week.
It's...
I mean, the weekend.
So much to get into.
Okay, before we get into the recaps, a word from our sponsor.

Where do you wanna start?
We can start with Kyle and Amanda, because we're gonna have to talk about them again and again and again-
[laughs]
... and again and again on In the City.
[laughs]
It's just a whole-
They really fucked it up
... two-hour special.
[laughs]
Two-hour special of Kyle and Amanda.
Um, and I didn't mind getting even more Kyle on Watch What Happens Live.
Like, Kyle solo, I'm, I'm fine.
I'm in.
Mm-hmm.
The two of them, enough.
Enough.
[laughs]
They should've started In the City at divorce or separation.
I don't know if they're divorced, whatever.
To have to watch it deteriorate more, deteriorate...
Deteriorate? Why does that sound weird? More-
You're right
... for another 12 episodes, like 24 episodes of deterioration.
Is that a word? [laughs]
I'm going with it.
Like, I don't need it.
I don't need it.
They hated each other eight weeks ago.
Well, she-
Shit, four years ago
... she hates him, and I don't believe any of it anymore by the end of this episode because of the lies she tells on the steps, and how she w- This, these are the beginnings of throwing Ciara under the bus, by the way.
Because we see her do that as they're sitting on those steps.
But Kyle didn't know it, but they were separated the moment they left that house.
[laughs] Everybody saw it except for Kyle.
I think they were separated before that, but yes.
Everybody got it except for Kyle.
Um, okay, so we s- at the ski party, which did...
I mean, the apres party, which looked really fun, and I kept wondering-
Yeah, it did
... how are they in these jackets in the heat of the summer? Like, I know it's hot and humid in the Hamptons in September.
How are they in these coats? I just kept s- and nobody looked like they were sweating.
Nobody was breaking a sweat.
Maybe it was just cold that weekend, I don't know.
That just kept...
That was bothering me.
I just kept saying, [laughs] I know that they are dying of heat.
I know that they're hot.
Going back to the apres, before we get to 6:00 AM, to the late night, the late night activities, I think I'm just...
I know that this group has such a closeness, and you really see it in this episode.
It's, it's like everybody knows that this is the last summer like this.
And I wonder, before it all came out-
Why do they know that, though?
Because everybody knows that Kyle and Amanda are moving towards divorce.
Kyle and Amanda.
That's what I had to say to myself.
Yeah.
I'm like, "Wow, this is really crazy," but everybody knows that they are moving, and it, the summer will never look the same.
And they didn't know.
Yeah.
They knew that they hated each...
Well, that there's, there was so much resentment and b- and negativity and bad energy between the two of them-
Yeah
... that they didn't know what kind of divorce that they would have.
Um, so I had to say, like, that's why everybody was crying like that, because...
Not everybody, but they just knew it wouldn't be the same.
That's what I felt like.
Um, but I have to say, I do get tired-Of everybody butting in the business [laughs] at times.
When Kyle and Sierra were talking, I just was like, "I don't wanna see this." I don't wanna see another friend having a conversation for Amanda.
I don't wanna see Kyle talking to somebody who's not Amanda.
If it's not Amanda and Kyle, we just gotta let it go.
I just, I, I think I'm so over, and I don't have to be...
I mean, now it's over.
It really is over.
But I think I'm just, watching this, I'm over everyone inserting themselves into their relationship.
A- and this, this probably isn't true, but I do wonder what their relationship would be like if they actually kept it private from all of their friends.
There's so much input from everybody else, and I just wonder, Kyle would still be Kyle running around late night, an occasional making out [laughs] with a random person.
Why do you wonder?
I just won- Amanda-
We got, we have Danny, we have Danny and Nia.
So there's two, there's two versions of this.
Uh-huh.
There's the version where you tell everyone everything, and then there's the version where you hide everything from everyone.
Right, and it spills out.
Make sure you're not mic'd.
Why are you talking about this on camera?
Right.
There has to be the happy mediums, where we get a little bit, but not e- not enough.
We, they share a little bit, but not everything.
These are two, like, polar opposite relationships that are both horrible, but one we know every detail, and one we're making up what we think it looks like.
Mm-hmm.
I g-
I agree with you.
It's tiring, but it must have been just the absolute worst vibes.
Sure.
'Cause whenever someone is around one of th- one of them, it comes up.
Like, immediately people are like, "How are you doing?" Like, that one weekend where Amanda wasn't there and Kyle was just like, "I just, I don't wanna talk about it, I don't wanna talk about it." Like, that's, that's the first thing people wanna say.
Yeah, I think-
So-
I, I-
...
they feel something.
No, no, no, no. It's, it's there.
I'm not saying it's not there.
I just, Amanda's somebody, as we see, is very easily influenced, and I wonder what their relationship could've been.
Could it have been better? Maybe would they have gone to therapy? Since they're not talking to everybody else, would they have gone to therapy? Would, would it have gone longer and then eventually failed? I just don't...
I just wonder.
It was just a thought that crossed my mind, because so many people have their hands in it.
And that does start to...
Like, the more you open up people into your marriage, that does start to have, to have an effect on you, and I guess maybe I know that from seeing mine deteriorate.
But it does start to, like, play with your mind.
And the other thing I thought, too, is Amanda, I don't think ever would've left Kyle if she didn't start liking somebody else.
Does this mean that they were-
Agreed
... physical? M- you know, I say no.
Maybe, maybe not.
Mm, I'm not sure.
But if Amanda had not, if Amanda had not latched on to somebody else emotionally, I think she would not have had the courage to leave Kyle.
The energy-
Agreed
... that we see her give in In The City, which we'll talk about, I think is because she was being...
I don't know if she was being emboldened, but she felt big because there was somebody else-
She had someone else
...
in her life, and that's just Amanda.
I, I saw something on a Reddit where it was like, "Did Amanda come from money? Has Amanda b- like, lived a spoiled life?" And I don't know if it's true or not, but it was being litigated in this, um, s- a subreddit.
Reddit thread?
And they were kind of saying that it was, her dad had a really good job, and then her grandfather had an even better job.
And I guess there's a trust, a trust fund, but tru- trust funds can vary, so who knows? But it does seem like there was this, that she was kind of spoiled and didn't have to, like, work hard.
She could latch onto one thing after another.
And so go- Amanda didn't all of a sudden become Miss Independent.
She latched onto somebody else, emotionally, physically, both.
It's not like she's ever been independent in her life.
Mm-mm.
Ever.
Which is why she's lazy.
And I did see the Reddit thread, and apparently she, like, her family is, like, upper middle class.
Like, they did well.
They didn't have to worry about bills.
Mm-hmm.
But I think someone n- sa- came out and was like, people acting like she has, like, a full trust fund and everything.
That's just, like, not true.
But, like, her parents gave Kyle 500,000 to invest into Loverboy, so, like, they have money.
They gave her half a million-
It's not like-
... to invest in a Loverboy? They're doing fine.
Yeah.
They're doing just fine.
Yeah.
Like, yeah.
They're doing fine.
Like-
Yeah
...
if you can give 500 to invest in somebody's company, then, then she easily has a trust fund that's more than half a million.
That's what I think.
I don't know.
That's what I think.
But either way it goes, I just was like, Amanda has-
That just reminded me of the rent
... that your rent is due?
I can't ima- No. What?
[laughs] Oh.
I can't ima- [laughs] I can't imagine my husband sending me a Venmo request for $112,000.
I must have missed this part, because when they brought it up, I was like, "Wait, did I walk out of the...
What happened? I, I missed this."
Amanda had not paid rent in three years.
So they split the r-
Per half.
They split the rent?
It's, I don't know if they split it 50/50, but they split rent, and she had not paid the rent in three years.
And there's, like, all these TikToks and whatever of, like, Amanda at home knowing that Loverboy is in a financial crisis, but not paying rent.
That's crazy.
Um-
That's crazy.
[laughs]
[laughs] Yeah.
So he calculated it all and sent her a request for 112, 112 or $117,000.
You can't even send that much through Venmo.
Maybe it was...
I, where can you send that much?
Maybe it was business.
A bank?
Send me the wire.
A bank?
Yeah.
Like, I don't, I don't know.
But yeah, sh- he requested from her-112 or $117,000.
That's hilarious.
I did not know that.
However, it just makes me...
It just like, gosh, these are two people who never should've been married sadly, and they know that now.
But it's-
Yeah
... it's like when you marry somebody, it's gotta be a partnership.
You can't marry...
You marry a partner, not a person.
Amanda was never a partner to Kyle.
And, and that can be because of what Kyle did previously, whatever-
Yeah
... you wanna place the blame.
She just did not come into this marriage as to be partners.
And-
Agree
... that has been evident from the beginning to the end.
Um, Lindsay-
I don't think she really wants a part- like a 50/50 partnership.
That's not what Amanda's looking for.
No, she wants to be taken care of, which is wild she's in the situation she's in, but you know.
She doesn't...
No, no, no, let's just settle on this.
She doesn't know what she wants.
Uh, she doesn't know what she wants.
Yeah, also being taken care of is like, I don't think...
I don't, I don't necessarily think Amanda wants like a rich guy to come in and pay for everything.
I just think she wants to do nothing.
So-
She wants to do nothing
... she'll live, she'll live a smaller life to do nothing.
And she wants to be told, like, what to like, how to dress.
Like, she wants that.
Yeah.
Easiest, easiest pathway forward.
I wonder how she is as a dog mom.
Uh, someone did DM me and said, "Did you notice how clean Kyle's apartment was-
I did
...
when Amanda came to talk to h- him?"
I did.
I thought about it immediately.
And I think they, that's why they had us-
I think it's crazy that-
... purposely meet there.
[laughs]
At the beginning of, [laughs] at the beginning of Summer House when we were talking about Kyle being like, "I had to call her mom to come clean up for her at one point."
Yeah.
And we were like, "That is crazy.
Why can't you clean up for her? Blah, blah, blah, blah." And now I'm like, she was the problem.
Well, yeah.
I was like, why are you bringing her mom into it? Like, you guys should be able to work that out.
'Cause she's used to her parents-
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's, it's-
... doing everything
... it's wild.
Um, Lindsay and Carl talk.
The, uh, you know, I'm over it.
I, I, I guess, you know, knowing that, getting insight that Lindsay had not processed these feelings, which is probably why she acts the way she does around Kyle.
I mean, Kyle.
I always do this.
Kyle, Carl.
Carl.
Why she acts the way she does around Carl, fine.
But I, I, I, I almost fast-forwarded.
[laughs] I just-
I am happy that they had the conversation, and I hope we don't have to have another one.
Yeah, I hope so too.
I, I can't imagine what it f- felt like to be publicly embarrassed that way, like you had no idea that was happening, and you would never f- fathom that your s- significant other, first best friend would do you in that way.
And, and, and-
I mean, a friend for years
... and she's a grudge holder, okay? So you know, I, so I can see why she's holding onto it.
But being a grudge holder, that she is, not me, but I just...
Even present day, like, when she's on Watch What Happens Live, and it's like she's so hesitant to be like, "I'm cool with Carl," or-
We're in a good place
... we're in a good place.
Yeah.
Or when somebody's like-
She's like, "This is the first step."
Yeah.
When somebody's like, "Carl was smiling.
He was so, he's so happy when he talks about y'all." And she's like, "Yeah." It's like, let it go.
You don't have to be friends-
Yeah.
I agree
...
but you don't have to be so hard or hardened about it.
Uh, so yeah, fast-forward.
Kyle and Amanda don't talk the whole time.
Um-
Well, he tries
... and let me ask you this.
If you were Ciara and Mia, and you're having this conversation with Amanda about, you know, like giving her a pep talk ab- and telling her how great she is and to stand up for herself, if your husband walks over to talk to you, would you have stayed there or would you have gotten up?
Hmm.
I would've gotten up.
I would've gotten up.
I would've gotten up.
I would've gotten up.
But I would've gotten up when we were, when they were in the bed and Kyle came in.
I would've gotten up.
Yeah.
Uh, I think that everyone in the house is tired of giving, getting up.
Like, these conversations have happened so much that they're like, "You're not gonna keep, you're not gonna keep interrupting my day, my night." Like-
Well-
...
I saw someone comment, like, "Mia and Ciara should've gotten up." And-
They should've
...
No, not that one.
Like, Amanda came in-
Not that one.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
I know.
Someone had said it about that one.
Oh.
Because I would've gotten up, and that's a scenario too.
I probably would've been like, "Oh, they need to talk.
Like, I don't need to be here for this." I feel uncomfortable in those situations.
Same.
So like, I'm like-
'Cause it's none of your business
...
this is not for me.
Yeah.
If the truth is, it's none of your business.
I don't need to know this information.
Yeah.
So-
I felt so uncomfortable watching that.
When, when they were at the après party and sitting in that spot, I would've gotten up, and if Amanda decided to follow me into the house, then I would've kept the conversation going.
But the way that-
Well, so then the other thing is I think that Amanda doesn't want them to get up.
She doesn't wanna have the conversation with Kyle.
Then I would want her to tell me-
Say that
...
if I start getting up, then Amanda's like, "Don't go anywhere.
I'm having this conversation."
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It just was so awkward.
I'm with you.
I would've gotten up.
They just look at him.
I assume they're done with it.
I-
It seems like everybody in the house is like, "Uh, y'all gonna have to do this right here."
Man, let me tell you something.
Like, even at dinner when Lindsay started, everyone...
The only person that said anything was Ben.
Everyone else was just like-
Yeah
... "Here we go again."
Yeah.
I just like...
Moving forward, don't let these people this much into your relationship.
I just, it's just, it's too much.
Yeah.
It's, I, I just don't like...
I love the closeness of the group, but we are crossing boundaries that we just shouldn't.
Boundaries.
I don't care how long you've been watching it.
Like, and, and Mia just got here.
So I just, I just, I'm-
Which by the way, did you see how Amanda kissed Jesse?
Yes.
That was weird.
Yes, it is weird.
Talking about boundaries.
It is not...
Callie-
I was just like, "Okay"
... you and I would, wouldn't last one season in this houseWe would have a very short summer.
There's just no way.
Get out of my bed
Also, I'm not sleeping with someone all summer.
Like how Mia and, um, Sierra just share a bed all summer, not doing it.
It wouldn't be my preference, but I, it wouldn't kill me.
It's only for a few days.
It'd kill me.
But I know that house smells.
It's not.
It's the whole summer.
It's a few days every week.
I know, a few days every weekend, but I, it's, that is the-
Three out of four days a week.
I would prefer-
Half the week, half the summer
...
I would prefer my own bed, but it wouldn't kill me to be with my best friend.
But I, I know-
No
... that house stinks.
Between having all them random people in your house, and then they go out and-
Oh, yeah, I'm not.
Ugh
...
they go out and party, they don't bathe.
They come back, and you've got all the liquor, all the smells, all of that from, from that, and they don't do it till the morning.
Like, I know that house stinks.
Smells like straight feet and wet dog.
I know it does.
Ugh.
We would not fit in the summer house.
We just wouldn't.
I would be asking for another house.
I would just be asking, "Is there a guest house?" I'd sleep outside on, on one of the lounge chairs.
There'd be something.
We just wouldn't fit in.
We wouldn't fit in 'cause we would be minding our own business.
Hey, don't go too hard 'cause I would like for you to make an appearance at some point.
No, I'm not doing that.
I could've already done that.
I could've already come to a s- gone to a summer party.
I just, no, I, I, oh, I would go, but I wouldn't spend the night.
You know? I could go, I wouldn't spend the night.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But I, no.
No, no, no, no. Wes and Sierra.
Wes is going around telling people, "I don't want...
Tell, tell Sabrina to chill out.
I don't want Sierra to think that I'm trying to be boyfriend/girlfriend with her." And then the next thing you know, he is with Sabrina and Ben, and they're kissing.
And then she's laying in his lap, and he's like massaging her neck.
And then they go into the bedroom, 'cause he really thought he was getting lucky, and they kiss again.
And even Jesse's like, "What world is this? What reality am I living in?"
[laughs]
He even knows it's right.
Like, and this is coming from the man who gets his toe sucked in, in, you know, during the witching hour of the night, and he even knows that something's not right.
So your thoughts.
I mean, this like, Wes wanted to have sex with her.
I thought the make out was so odd.
I think Wes knew he shouldn't do it, but he was too drunk to say no.
He wanted to...
When they're in the bedroom and he's like, "Are you pushing me down on the bed?" Wes, remember when he-
Oh, no, no, no. I'm talking about the original make out on the chair in front of-
Oh
...
Ben and Sabrina, who aren't saying a word and are just sitting there watching it.
Yeah.
Um, that make out was so strange to me, and it felt like Sierra went for it.
She did.
And Wes, I think if he was a little bit more sober, would've known that he can't do that, but he was not, so he made out with her, then was like, "All right, well, I already made out with her.
I might as well have sex with her." And thank God, thank God Sierra was like, "No."
Nah, she wouldn't have done that.
She wouldn't have done that, but-
Thank God
... you know, it's-
But also, what a seat for Jesse, just laying in bed like, "What's happening right now?" [laughs]
Jesse is a cuck.
He was gonna sit and watch the whole thing.
[laughs] He had a-
Jesse was like, "Uh"
...
I think he had a smile on his face.
If you zoom in, he's in the dark.
I think he was smiling like a Cheshire cat.
He's a cuck.
We know what his kinks are.
I think that he was like, "What?" And also probably like even the way, again, we don't know when these interviews were filmed, but the way he was in his interview was like, kind of like, "This is a horrible idea."
Mm-hmm.
"I don't know what is going on, and I can't believe Wes would do this again."
Mm-hmm.
That's the vibe that Jesse was giving.
No, he was.
He was.
He definitely was.
But it was also like, "I'm not getting up."
Yeah.
So.
That too.
Um, yeah.
I'm already in bed tucked in.
I'm glad it ended the way that it ended.
It needed to end, and I, and I'm glad we didn't talk about it in the morning.
You know, we focused on the Amanda and Kyle of it all, and they decided to have the song.
Yeah, she was a little, she was a little hypey in the morning, but other than that.
She was hyped.
She told Mia.
Mia's like, "Oh, God." Mia, Mia's worried that she shouldn't-
And then she like went outside and was like, "Morning!" And Wes was like-
[laughs] Where's Mandy?
Like a thumbs up.
It's not what I'd want after a make out sesh.
Don't give me a thumbs up in the morning.
Who gave the thumbs up first?
Wes.
Oh.
She went outside and was like, "Morning!" And Wes had just gotten out of the pool and was just like...
Gosh.
She's like, "See you downstairs." And he was like, "Yeah." I was just like, oh God, that is not-
That's not what I would want either
... what I would want.
It's not what I would want either, man.
It's not what I would want either.
Um, Kyle and Amanda, I think the biggest takeaway I had is that, again, to see Amanda have the conversation she does in the city, and for us to say that Amanda only does something when she's like emotionally attached to something else.
Mm-hmm.
You know, she would've never had the, the desire to leave Kyle if she hadn't attached herself to Wes.
Watching Amanda, Kyle confront Amanda and say to her, "I had this conversation with Sierra.
She said this-"
Mm-hmm
... "about separation.
I'm assuming she's saying how you feel." And Amanda's like, "I mean, I, Sierra told me about the conversation, but I, that's not how I feel.
I thought we were headed in, in the right direction, in a good place." And I'm like, let's rewind to when you say, "I appreciate you girls because you say exactly what it is I'm feeling."
Mm-hmm.
And I, I just was like, are you, have you lied so much? That you can't remember what you say? I, I, I was like, this-
Probably
... is w- a wild statement.
And then she blames s- basically, like, "Sierra did that.
I didn't tell Sierra to say that." And then ends it with, "But I'm gonna go stay at a hotel." So I, I just-
So you do wanna be separated.
Yeah.
Are we going to get into...
Also, she blames it on his behavior-
Even two episodes ago
... she blames it on his behavior, which is also the pattern.
Like, that gave-
Yeah
... his behavior gave her an-
Yeah
... excuse.
It gave her an out.
"I never said that, but seeing you act like this again-"
Because you did A, B, and C, yeah.
Exactly.
She also told Sierra when they were in the city and talking when Amanda walked the dogs, um, she was like...
When Sierra was like, "What do you think about a separation?" She was basically like, "I'd be down, but he'd never go for it."
He'd never go for it.
Which is exactly what Sierra told Kyle, she said.
I just, I just, I, ugh, ugh.
I wanna be done with it.
I wanna be done.
I have a question, though, logistically.
Kyle and her, like, her being like, "I'm gonna, we're not gonna drive together."
Mm-hmm.
"I'm gonna drive my own car." And Kyle being like, "I never thought that we'd be leaving this summer in different, separate cars."
Yeah.
Well, you had to if both you guys had your car there.
Do we really think they had their car there, or was that just, like, for editing purposes?
I don't know, but her being like, "I'm driving," and he's driving, I'm like, okay, so if there's two cars there, y'all weren't going together.
Yeah, probably not.
Oh, she got in the backseat.
Belle said she got in the backseat.
Okay.
I was gonna say she took an Uber or a production vehicle, it seems.
Oh, okay.
Okay, okay.
Thank you, Bella.
'Cause when I was confused when he said that, I was like, if there's two cars there, then you guys were gonna have to go home separately.
Right.
I also don't think it's that big a video for them to drive back to the city in separate cars.
No, but it's just-
But
...
I get it for-
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But I will say that-
But-
Oh, go ahead.
I was gonna say, but them leaving separately, as in separated, even though that's not what's happening, that's what's happening.
Everybody saw it except for Kyle.
Like, Amanda was like, "I did it.
I had the conversation."
I think Kyle saw it.
[sighs] Except he-
He just didn't wanna, he didn't want it, yeah.
Accept it.
But I will say that I didn't know how In the City was gonna start, and I loved the transition, though.
Even though I don't like the subject matter, I loved the transition from literally the cameras picking up from that conversation and them literally driving into the city.
Because obviously it's reminiscent of how we watched, uh, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills-
... turn into...
No, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills turn into Vanderpump Rules.
Oh, I see.
Oh.
With Scheana.
So I always loved that.
So I was like, oh, wow, I, this is not what...
I didn't think they were gonna connect it like this.
That much, yeah.
But I appreciate it.

Okay, it's time to debrief the first episode of In the City.
Thanks to McDonald's, because the drama last night, overwhelming.
And the only thing keeping us sane are the all-new drinks at McDonald's.
They just dropped six new specialty beverages from fruity refreshers with popping boba or freeze-dried fruit to crafted sodas like the Sprite Berry Blast topped with cold foam.
These drinks are genuinely keeping us grounded, which is more than I can say for anyone on our screens.
Okay, Callie, let's get right into it.
In the CityOne out of 10, what did you think?
Oh, Rachel, I don't think you're gonna like what I have to say.
Go ahead.
One out of 10.
10 being good, great.
I think it has a potential for the first episode.
I think going after Summer House hurt it.
Probably helped it ratings-wise, but like, for what I felt during it, f- oh man, I'd say like a five.
But there was one moment in it that's one of my favorite moments from 2026.
Oh, well then how are we at a five, Callie? How are we at a five? [laughs]
'Cause that was like it.
What was the moment?
I really, I really didn't wanna see Ama- like, I was done with Amanda before the episode started, and I think that hurt my, like enjoyment of the show.
Fair.
Fair.
Um, [laughs] when Amanda and Kyle-
[laughs]
... are going back and forth.
Yeah.
And she said, "Kyle, you literally made out with someone while we were married." He says, "Says who?" She was like, "Kyle, there's video footage." And he goes, "Okay."
[laughs]
Like-
Your point? [laughs]
He, he was kind of like, "Uh, I don't...
I, I can't really go back at that if she has video proof."
Yeah.
He was done.
I'm also thinking if she's had video proof, she never told him that she had video proof.
Which I think she has it, I think she has the video proof.
But that means I, I feel like she's been so checked out that she didn't even care to bring it up to him.
Well, I wonder when she got that information, 'cause that was my thought.
It's like, when we were married, was it right before...
You know, was it during the summer when we saw it all kind of really break down? Was it after? Well, no, this was September, so it couldn't have been after really the summer.
So I was like, well, was it r-
Yeah
...
it was it more re- towards the end? Or was it...
'Cause it's so interesting you say it that way, 'cause then when I watched her say that, I thought it happened at the beginning of their marriage.
That's what I really thought.
But now that I'm talking-
Maybe
... no, but no, I think it makes more sense.
'Cause like now that I'm talking to you, I'm like, it had to be towards the end and she was just so checked out, she like never mentioned it to him and she didn't care.
'Cause I'm like, how did she never bring it up?
And I think it probably-
Yeah
... made her feel justified in some of the later actions that she had.
Whatever she was doing.
Yeah.
I didn't think about it at that at, at, at all because I'm just so used to hearing about Kyle cheat.
I just assumed-
I just-
...
it could've happened at any time.
[laughs] I just feel like when people find out about their spouses doing things, it's usually like immediate, where you're like-
Mm-hmm
... "Did you do this?"
Mm-hmm.
So for him to find out, 'cause he did not know she knew about that moment-
Yeah, yeah
... until the, the camera was on him.
The way he said okay was like, "Okay.
Like yeah, I did."
[laughs]
"And I don't, there's not really much I can say." Um, I laughed out loud, rewound, and watched it again.
[laughs]
Like it was so funny to me, and I just like Kyle so much right now, which is probably not fully fair, but it is what it is.
I like him.
You're not alone.
Oh, I don't have my Carl's a Mess sweatshirt on.
Should I go get it? Can anyone hear me?
Yeah, I can hear you.
I paused because I just assumed-
I know you can hear me-
No, no, I wanna keep all this in
...
but I wanted to make sure.
I wanna keep all this in because I assumed seeing the black, 'cause you're on screen, I just assumed that I couldn't see where it said Carl's a Mess.
And the fact that you left me out here hanging and I've been running around Spotify West Hollywood wearing a Carl's a Mess shirt by myself.
Go put it on.
[laughs]
You can't even see yours, but you lifted up for a second and I saw mess.
Go put it on.
And I was like, "Oh, no."
Go put it on.
Okay.
Hold on.
It's really, like, it's right here.
We're supposed to be twins.
[laughs] There she is in her Carl's a Mess sweatshirt, which I might like better than my T-shirt.
Now I have a question for you, and this is no shade.
Mm-hmm.
We've already purchased it.
We've already done our, our good deed.
We've, we've, we've kept lover boy alive, which mine says lover boy.
Before.
Lover boy on the back.
I, I'm assuming yours does too, but mine is kind of faded.
Oh, mine's not.
Mine is like a faded black.
It doesn't look as like rich as yours.
Yeah, yours does look more gray than black than mine.
Mine's like a pretty...
It's, it's black with a pop of white.
Yeah.
It's a crispy white too.
Yeah.
It's...
I-
I just can't even imagine how many of these they had to press.
Like they were just-
Well, they, they did them quickly.
From the, from my shirt-
Yeah.
[laughs]
...
it was quick.
It was quick.
But thank you that now we're matching, and now you're making me want a sweatshirt, but I can't trust it 'cause of the quality of my shirt.
But that's, that's neither here nor there.
You know, go out and get your Carl's a Mess shirts and sweatshirts today.
Support, support a, support a-
Lover boy
... young entrepreneur.
[laughs] Support-
[laughs] He's not that young, but he looks young.
Well, okay, seeing somebody's...
I like to consider myself young.
We're close in age.
[laughs]
Come on now.
Give me, give me a little.
A young entrepreneur to me is like under 30.
Shh.
So younger, way younger than me, just to be clear.
Shh.
He started it younger.
Shh.
[laughs] Um-
I, um, I think was gonna say that it's not fair, but I do love Kyle, and it is what it is.
But-
Yeah
...
I would like for you to tell me over, under, seven times did Kyle cheat on Amanda? What, what's your bet?
Oh, under.
Okay.
But like right on the line.
[laughs]
[laughs]
We're pretty close.
I had to think about it for a second.
Um, something you said-
I did appreciate that he didn't, he didn't say, "I didn't." He said, "Who? According to who?"
Because that, at that moment, they were already divorced or had filed for divorce or at least separated.
I don't know if they've officially filed.
They've at least announced their separation at that point that we saw, which was my biggest issue with this episode.
So first I'll say to your point about you saying talking about Kyle and the way you feel about him, and I said you're not alone, I saw an article that was like how Kyle became the hero, and it really made me sit with the damage that Mandy and West have done with each other.
She's Mandy now 'cause we're in the cityThe West that they have done are, are...
The West.
What they have done to-
[laughs]
... like all these people-
Soul shows
... and with the situation, it's like because of what they've done, the damage, it feels like everybody has like gone up a notch or two or three except for those two.
Like what...
Like a bad thing was done and people are hurt, and the d- like that will sit with, like the Kyle and the, um, Ciara of it all will sit with them for a long time.
But like they have...
Great things have happened to them outside of that.
You can't say that for Mandy and West.
It's really interesting, like even the way you feel about Kyle, the way that article said he's become the hero.
Like you're really looking at K- Kyle f- through a different lens in a way that we never have before.
Now, my biggest issue with this episode, I'm going to give it a seven.
But my biggest issue-
That's good.
Well, my biggest issue was we had been...
The, it had been teased that this, the first episode was going to address the West and Mandy of it all.
What I expected was to see West and Mandy together having a conversation, and then them rewinding it back.
I was highly disappointed that you put screenshots of, you know, their, um, joint announcement, all the headlines, and then you go to...
It was a little almost even confusing.
And then you go to Kyle and Mandy having this conversation, and I'm like, "I don't really even care to hear this conversation.
You're not giving me anything." I know that Kyle cares for Amanda, and I know that he wants to at least support her because they've spent 10 years together.
Didn't need that.
What I wanted-
Mm-hmm
... as much as it would've disgusted me, was to see present day West and Amanda.
Or-
I wonder if West is on this at all.
Well, we know that there's the preview.
Yeah, but in the-
We know from the preview, I mean
...
but in the preview, isn't it more so just like West was already a, a little bit in it because he hangs out with them.
Is there post everything happening West in it?
I doubt it, but I don't know.
Yeah.
Maybe we'll get that at the end.
I don't know either.
But I was hoping to get that at the beginning at least.
You know what I mean? The fresh off the reunion.
Yeah, and I think because of being after like the last episode of Summer House, which was like draining, it felt like I was like done with this show before it started.
I watched it, but I was kind of like ch- I was just like, "I, I...
Okay."
Yeah.
Like the, the conversation you're talking about, I'm like, "I want the reunion.
I don't want this.
I don't wanna see Kyle being nice to Amanda and in a better place and trying to help her through it." Like I...
And not answer one single question, and the one question he asks, you s- cry, but then you're totally fine 10 seconds later.
Yeah.
I, I...
It's not what I wanted.
Yeah.
And also the entire time I'm thinking like during their original conversation from the original filming when she's asking to go, or not asking, telling him that she's moving out for a month, I'm like, "Are you with West during this?" Because I found out today that-
What?
...
the, the day the conversation happens where she says she's moving out and she starts moving out, like when she's packing up, she's moving out.
The next day, West posted a dump of pictures.
Amanda's in one.
They're cheers-ing.
It's just them two, and the, and the-
I saw that
... uh, caption is, "Two soups." And people are saying it's in reference to an Office episode where he's like, "We're just two soups soulmates."
Hmm.
Wow, people are really doing their digging.
And I-
Yeah
... and I'm, and I'm grateful for it.
I did see that post.
I never would've put the two soups or whatever that is together.
I would never.
It's-
And even after seeing it, I'm like, "Is that a reach?" I mean, I don't know why else you'd call-
No
... yourself two soups.
Like that's also weird.
It's like they think that they're so smart.
Like that's...
I know what I said last week, and I, I still stand by that, but it's at times when I question it because I feel like they got off in playing in our faces and thinking nobody knew or no- or no one would ever know.
And so I do believe that that was probably a thing.
And you know, like maybe they were saying they were soulmates, but they were never gonna act on it 'cause it could hurt too many people.
I don't know.
I also saw that based on this timeline, he had just gone out with Mia as well, like right before all of this happened.
In September.
Mm-hmm.
It was all around the same time.
Um, and then Kyle said on Watch What Happens Live, you know, he's talking about like they made up and then they were making out at the open or whatever he said.
I don't know.
It's just too much.
It's just too much.
Hopefully, please, please, please let the reunion answer all the timeline questions.
Please let there be a whiteboard.
Please let somebody draw it out.
Like I am so tired of trying to figure out the timeline, which is why I settled on what I did last week.
It was more for peace of mind than, than that's what I actually believe, if I'm being honest.
Um-
I don't think that we're gonna get a clear timeline because it seems like they're still lying coming to the reunion.
Well, I'm gonna believe whatever timeline that Ciara and Kyle are coming with.
When they have that little group meeting that we saw and they're like-
Mm.
Mm-hmm
... "Okay, we stick to this," that's where I am.
I'm right there in the middle of that meeting.
So that's my biggest complaint, is because my expectations were high, and that's why I'm giving it a seven.
The other reason that I'm being gracious with my number is because it's the first season-
Yeah
... episode-
Yes
... one, so we have to get to know the people, so there's only so much that can happen.
Like we have to understand who Kenny is, who Gavin is, who...
Was it Yvonne? Who like all these other people are.
Even Gemma, we have to understand.
Like thank God we saw her.
I like to think me saying, "If we're not getting the baby, what are we doing?"... is why we get to see Gemma's face, and she's so cute.
Yeah.
She's so cute.
Um, yeah, Yvonne, Nick, Lexi.
We already know Andrea.
Gavin, Kenny, Whitney.
We have to get to know these people and figure out how they're interconnected, and I did like the way they showed us how they are all interconnected.
I, I liked that.
I thought that was cool.
Um, it makes me feel like, all right, this is a f- real friend group.
And even Kyle saying when he's talking to Kenny and he's like, "Well, I didn't get really gets...
I'm just now getting to know Whitney, but she seems great," I like that.
You don't know Whitney as well, but we're getting throwback pictures of you and Kenny, and you've done Frank's, uh, Friendsgiving together.
So I'm like, this is-
Mm-hmm
... a real friend group.
That draws me in, not random people put together to create a show.
So that gives me hope as well.
Do I think that there's too many people? Yes.
Yeah.
When you started naming names, I was like, "Who?"
Yeah.
And I didn't even name-
There are some memorable ones
...
I didn't even name Lindsay's, the, the dermatologist or whatever friend.
I, I didn't even name her.
Best, not best friend.
I know who the dermatologist is, but I don't know her name.
Um, there were some memorable people, and there were some memorable conversations, so I think that is pretty good for a first episode.
Who was memorable to you?
I have a question as someone...
Uh, uh, Kenny's obviously memorable.
[laughs]
Um, and Lindsay's best friend, Yvonne, is that her name?
Mm-hmm.
She's memorable, and a specific scene with her was pretty memorable.
Um, as someone who has been married and gotten divorced, I'm so curious how you feel about this because I had feelings.
When Kyle and Amanda are talking and she decides, "I am moving out."
Mm-hmm.
And he's like, "Okay, if I accept..." She's like, "There's no accept."
Mm-hmm.
"This is what I'm doing."
Mm-hmm.
And he's like, "Okay, if I agree..." "No, there's no agreement.
This is what I'm doing.
I don't need your permission.
I don't need your approval.
I don't need da da da da," whatever.
Obviously, I don't like Amanda, so, like, I watch that and have, like, a certain view of it.
Sure.
I understand her being like, "You can't tell me what to do," and, like, "I'm doing what I want regardless." My feeling though is I'm like, yeah, no, but you are in a marriage, so usually you move forward, especially if you're not getting divorced, together.
Mm-hmm.
So if this is what you need, it would be...
Like, if I was Kyle, I would be like, "I actually do have a say.
I could say, 'You can do that, and we'll get divorced.'"
Yeah.
Like, you don't just get to do this, and we stay together and try to work on it and date each other.
Yeah.
Like, you're speaking for me and what I wanna do in this situation.
I feel like how she...
First of all, someone definitely told her what to say and how to say it 'cause it's, that's just not Amanda's personality from anything that we have seen-
Mm-hmm
... at all.
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
So someone is in her ear saying, "This is how you say it," and you s- and you have to say, like, "No, I'm not asking you for approval." Like, this, this isn't...
We- I've never seen Amanda act like that ever.
Mm-hmm.
So I'm like, who's telling her to talk like this?
Well, I don't know.
But, and we talked about this when we were recapping Summer House, but the quickness...
I know we say we're not gonna talk about timelines, but this is something we do know.
The quickness of the filming picks, obviously picks up from the end of the summer to the start of the fall, so we're in September.
The quickness of the decision of I'm gonna stay in a hotel for a couple of days and now I'm moving out really contradicts that statement that she made when she said, "I didn't tell Sia...
I don't know why Sierra said that.
I...
Like, that's not how I feel.
I thought we were moving in a place." Like, I was like, this woman is such a liar.
This woman is such-
Yeah, also we have it on camera that-
Yeah
... you told Sierra that.
You're such a liar.
You didn't make this...
These decisions didn't come quickly.
You knew...
You, you were p- you were moving towards this.
You were planning this.
Mm-hmm.
So, and the other thing was, I'm like, you're talking out of both sides of your neck right now.
If you were in therapy, even if it is going bad, you were in couples therapy because a good therapist will say to you, and I am speaking from experience, "Do you want to stay together or, or not?" Because then they know-
Mm-hmm
... how to counsel you.
Mm-hmm.
And if y'all are saying you wanna stay together and you're working toward that, then you don't make a unilateral decision like that.
Separation is something you talk about in therapy, 'cause that's what we did.
Like, it's something that you talk about, and you try to decide together how it should go and what's best, and whether you agree or you don't, you know, it is what it is with each couple.
But the fact that you did that is also telling.
And you see Kyle kind of talk about it on Watch What Happens Live.
It's like he knew what was happening, but he just wasn't ready to accept it yet, so he was just gonna say-
Mm
... yes to whatever Amanda wanted because he was hanging on for dear life.
Like, he just didn't wanna get divorced no matter how it looked.
But the way that-
Yeah
... she went about it, every move that she was making was just inching towards divorce.
She was making decisions as a single per- not a single person, but as an individual, and not as a-
Mm-hmm
... partnership, which totally contradicts.
So you can't talk about how Kyle's being in therapy and how bad it is and how he doesn't get it when you're also making moves as an individual and not together.
So it's, to your point about giving it a five, because of, like, just, like, the Amanda and the drag of it all and, you know, like, it...
I liked the transition, but just the way it ended, it is tough.
Even when we see in this episode everybody's getting together to go to The Garrett and meet up and...
It's funny, I only remember that name because I know some of these people.
[laughs] Otherwise, I would not remember what The Garrett was.
[laughs]
Um, when we see Amanda and Kyle walking up, it's just such, like-A change of mood from what we're seeing happening at the re- at the bar to them, and you...
I knew Amanda wasn't gonna go.
Like, from the way she was dressed to the look on her face.
I mean, yeah.
I just was like, they are miserable.
And so I'm just...
And this is-
Yeah
...
the first episode, too, so I'm like, what does the rest of the season look like? What is the re- she's living separately from you.
She cannot stand to be around you.
She literally looks sick when she's around you.
Mm-hmm.
Like, where are we going from here? And just seeing that energy is a little bit of, like, it, it just like-
A downer
... puts a cloud over-
Yeah
... yeah, the season.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm with you on that.
Also, I did laugh when she was like, "I'm literally sweating," and he was like, "You're wearing a raincoat in June." And she's like, "It's not a raincoat," and starts crying, and then the camera, like, pans up and down.
What is that?
[laughs]
A trench? It's either a trench or a rain.
I don't know, I don't know which one it is, but you have a coat on.
[laughs] He said a rainco- again, Kyle is funny, and I just don't even think-
Funny
...
he realizes that he's funny.
Yeah.
His just, like, whole being is funny.
Um, other things that happened, I mean, at the top of the episode, even though we don't get the Mandy and West that I wanted, in that conversation they do talk about, she denies emphatically that she had an emotional relationship with West, even though Kyle-
Ugh
... is like, "Well, now I'm watching things back," and it was just kind of all there.
And then of course she's like, she's super hurt by the accusation, of course.
Like, what else? How else is Amanda gonna react?
Also, how could you, how could you ask me that? What, what do you mean? You, you've just been lying to me for months fucking my friend and roommate.
Yeah.
I think you're capable of that.
Totally fa- you get nothing.
You get nothing.
And no, no, no.
Yeah.
But he is giving her, he's actually giving her something so much-
He's giving her a lot
... better than that.
He is caring about her mental state, and he is-
Yes
... refusing to abandon her despite popular opinion.
Despite all that she did, he is still putting concern for her above everything else.
So he doesn't owe you the whole benefit of the doubt.
Girl, that is out the window.
But he is being-
Yeah
...
so kind and caring, even to this day, 'cause you hear him talk about it on Watch What Happens Live.
Mm-hmm.
And you should be grateful for that.
You should be grateful for that.
Um...
Yeah, I think that she also can't stand that somehow he looks like the better partner because she has lived in a world-
Yeah
... where it was poor Amanda for so long.
Mm-hmm.
And she loves for people to feel sorry for her.
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
So when he asks if she was faithful and she's, she's like, "I can't believe you're asking me this." Like, "You're the cheater, not me."
Right.
And because the script has flipped, she doesn't know, like, how to deal.
Well, I was gonna say, well, who is, whose personality is she going to latch onto now? And it is West.
We already see her doing it.
She's dressing like him.
Mm-hmm.
She's doing his mannerisms, all of that.
But in this instance, to your point, she's kind of just gotta stand in it.
But it's also letting me know, which is why I think it's so frustrating, of exactly how she's going to be in part one, two, and three of this reunion.
Mm-hmm.
It's constantly going to be...
And we've seen it.
We've seen it in some of the clips out.
You guys have, nobody on earth has ever done something like this before, and they're like, "In high school." Girl.
Like, no.
And then, you know, Sierra-
She just got it
...
Sierra and Mia are like-
Got it
... "No." So and then, you know, you see the preview where she's like, "Well, West was here for me." And then Sierra's like, "And I wasn't?" So we already know what we're getting from Amanda, and the reason I can't say anything we're getting from West is because he's been silent and sitting there like a doofus in every preview we've seen.
So we already know what's gonna happen there.
Back to, back to the OG West that we met.
He talked about finding his voice.
Yeah.
Nope.
Gone.
I hope-
He lost it
...
I hope the, maybe the little that he spoke, they're just holding it and saving it for us, but it's not looking good.
It's really, we're really pretty much seeing what the whole setup is gonna be here.
Um, other highlights, I mean, we see Danielle, we meet her boyfriend.
Funny enough, it is Amanda who, in the confessional, is, talks about how he has a whole wife.
Which, you know, glass house.
[laughs]
[laughs]
Throwing stones.
[laughs]
Um, which Danielle now has a baby by this man, and this man is willingly on this television show.
I'm like, if he had a wife, he don't anymore.
Yeah.
That's what I'm saying.
But I assume they're separated and, like, not together.
Yeah.
And they're on the road to divorce.
Yeah.
That would be my guess.
She's projecting o- and also trying, and in that projection, deflecting from her own situation.
You know what I would ask, and it's not too late, and I pray somebody from Bravo is listening, it would do wonders for the audience if you would date the confessionals.
Hmm.
Just for us.
Wouldn't that be amazing? Because the reason I said that-
Yeah, that'd be great
... is I'm thinking of how Amanda looks, and maybe we can judge it by the bangs.
I'm thinking about how Amanda looks in that clip that we get where she says, you know, "Danielle's man has a whole wife." If that said, like, March 31st, that would be great.
You know what I mean? I just wish, 'cause we know some of these things-
It'd be good to know
...
some of these things happened after.
It would be good to know so we could, yeah, we could measure her delusion.
Yeah.
That would be, it would be nice.
It'd be nice.
But maybe we just follow the bangs.
Um, Yvonne? Yvonne?
Mm-hmm.
Yvonne?
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm
Mm-hmmI like her.
I think she's gonna be really good TV.
It's not shocking she's Lindsay's best friend.
Um, her intro to the show was, "I'm Yvonne.
I'm married.
We're really happily married, and I thought we were gonna have kids right away, and then now that we're married he seems to, like, not wanna talk about it whenever I bring it up.
And one day I got mad and went to San Diego for three days-
[laughs]
... and he didn't realize till the third day that I was gone."
[laughs]
I was like, "What?" "But we're in a really happy marriage."
Great TV.
I was like, are you sure?
Great TV, and they're newlyweds.
Let's not stop there.
Yeah, they've been together a year.
Sorry, I forgot about that.
Yeah, they're newlyweds, so that- that's even more fun I feel like.
Um-
How...
Like, I asked my friend group, how long would it take for your husband to be like, "Wait, where is she?"
Hours.
I w- I was gonna say, I went and got my nails done, and it was supposed to be at one time, and the lady was running late, and I ended up coming home late.
And Seth was like, "What's happening? Where are you?"
Yeah, yeah.
Hours.
However-
And he has my location.
However-
And he still was like, "What is going on?" [laughs]
However, it depends what state your marriage is in, because there was a time that I passed out.
Um, I went out with girlfriends.
Oh, the state.
I thought you meant, I thought you meant, like, what state-
Oh
...
in the United States.
Fair, because you said San Diego.
I was like-
Fair
... yeah, I was like no, bitch, if I passed out and didn't come home, that would be a huge problem.
Fair, fair.
No, I passed out.
Went out with friends, fell asleep on the couch.
Woke up, it was the next day.
I didn't even have a missed call.
So, you know.
Was he not like, "Where were you?"
And we don't share loca- we didn't share location, so it's not like you could be like, "Oh, okay, she's over here at this person's house."
But even still, I'd be like, "Are you okay?"
No. Yeah.
Nothing.
[laughs]
So this is what I mean about it depends the state.
And I remember thinking, "Huh.
Okay." [laughs] No, no, no.
Let me do it.
Let me do it right.
You're probably like, "That's nice, actually."
Wait, wait.
No, no, no.
Wait, wait.
Okay.
[laughs] The co-
[laughs]
Okay.
[laughs]
[laughs]
Gotta insert that into everyday life.
Oh.
Got to.
Yes.
Um, okay.
Lindsay and Danielle, what's new? They're in a bad place, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
I feel like I knew Danielle gave Carl a, a hand job.
I think we f- I feel like we knew that.
Yes, it was well discussed on the actual season.
Um, and then Danielle-
Allegedly
... posted on her story last night and said she did not give Carl a hand job, and then Lindsay posted on her story, "Go watch the season."
What, how...
What is Lindsay's sign? Because man, she's a grudge holder.
She is a grudge holder.
I'd also like to know from Carl, did, did you get yanked or not?
Carl's like, "Now why am I in this? Y'all didn't, y'all didn't wanna give me a contract for In The City.
Like, leave me alone." That's what I would say.
Like-
I would say, "Put me on season two."
Also though, Carl should be on this show.
It would make it even better.
Yeah, but you know what?
He's probably friends with a lot of these people.
But it's, it's supposed to be couples.
It's supposed to be like The Valley.
So-
Mm-hmm
... you know, maybe season two.
We'll see how it works out.
Um, Lexi and Andrea don't...
Maybe they'll give us more.
It looks like in the previews we see a little bit more, but, like, nothing there.
Not much.
And then, of course, as I'm gonna do, you're going to see me do every recap when it comes to Whitney, Kenny, and Gavin.
It's gonna be the last thing I wanna talk about.
[laughs] And I don't wanna talk about it.
How good of friends are you with Whitney? I know you said that you're friends.
I am-
Are you really good, like-
I am good friends with Whitney.
Like, I think if she had bridesmaids, I probably wouldn't be one, 'cause she has so many good girlfriends.
They have, like, that really close-knit group of friends.
But I'm pretty close with Whitney.
Like, I know-
Mm
... what's going on in her, in her life.
She knows what's going on in my life.
When I was going through the divorce, um, she's the reason I learned how to ski, which is, like, you know, I talk about it like I invented it.
Mm.
Mm-hmm.
So I-
[laughs]
She was so just, like, there for me in so many...
And we've seen, we, I mean, we've been friends for 10 years now, so we've seen-
Yeah
... each other go through a lot different relationships.
Um, she was one of the first people I said out loud, like, what was going on in my marriage.
She's, when I, right after the divorce is when I went to Aspen with her and another group of girlfriends, and she was just like, "I have the hotel.
Get the flight.
Come on, let's go." I got to have all the perks that she had.
It was just like, "You don't need to be alone.
You need to do your own thing." Like, she was really there for me in so many ways.
And, you know, she's one of the first people that I knew on The Bachelor, and she and I roomed together the entire time until she left.
Like, we were, we're close.
Mm.
We're close.
Um-
She, I assume-
Yeah
... must give more in real life.
I...
Well, it's the first episode.
I'm just, we're talking about the first episode.
She-
She didn't give much.
Well, yeah.
Like, when, when Kenny's describing her and he's like, "She's always positive.
The way she looks at life," like, that's very true.
She's one of the nicest people, has one of the purest hearts.
I remember I used to always say I didn't think I would meet people like her on The Bachelor.
That's actually not-
Yeah
... who I thought I was gonna be living in a, in a house with.
So, like, she's genuinely-... a really, really good person and just really happy.
Um, but I could see her being guarded and very aware that she is on the show.
And what I hope is that time goes on, as time goes on, she loosens up a little bit.
Mm-hmm.
'Cause I think when we were on The Bachelor, she was, like, very much so about, like, being perfect as well.
And I think as time goes on, especially, like, you know, her boyfriend's on the show, his friend's on the show.
She doesn't really have friends on this show.
She's getting to know these girls.
So I think she'll loosen up.
Uh, her boyfriend is loose as a goose.
He's ready to go.
He's very opinionated.
He's ready to be on TV.
He's very opinionated.
Yeah.
You know what's so interesting? I never would've thought he would've been, he would've been on the show.
Oh, that he would do it?
And I'm surprised.
Not only is he doing it, he's doing it.
[laughs]
Oh, he is doing it.
He is ready for-
He is doing it.
[laughs]
He is ready for the lights, baby.
He-
He is ready.
Would you move across the country without a ring?
Yeah.
Well, would you move across the country without a ring if you've never been married before?
Uh, it depends what-
'Cause you might not even wanna get married again, you know?
Correct.
I feel like it's a little bit different post-marriage.
It depends what city I'm moving to.
And I sa- I said this before, I know for a fact she wanted to be in New York because me, her, and another girl-
Mm
... were talking about getting an apartment together that we were all gonna split so we could be bicoastal.
And I thought, "Oh, wow, how kismet is it that you actually meet a guy that you fall in love with who lives in New York as well?" This is like, she w- we were already talk...
We were already talking about moving to New York.
So that, so I guess because I know that, I don't think that it's wild.
And it's New York.
Yeah.
It's not like she moved to, like, you know, and shout out to these listeners, but, like, Des Moines.
[laughs]
[laughs] I, um, I moved in with Seth before we were married.
I mean, I had a kid before we were married, so.
Yeah.
I ain't the one to judge, but, um, at that age, if my friend were doing it and I knew they really wanted to get married, which I don't know if, I don't know if this is her or not, I think I'd be like, "You're gonna make it harder."
He definitely, I mean, she definitely wants to get married.
Um, and I think she says it on the show, like, she wants to...
Her parents are high school sweethearts.
Her sister's marrying, two ki- uh, one kid, one on the way.
She wants to be married.
She wants to have kids.
I know she probably already thought, you know, I, I mean, I did too at that point, at that age, that she'd already have that.
And Kenny's older.
Kenny's in his 40s.
So I think that it's moving fast because of where they are in life.
And as he's already also said, he lost his mom, and that happened when they first started dating, and I was around for all of this.
Mm.
Mm-hmm.
And so what I appreciate about when he was going through that time is that he did not wanna confuse the emotion he was feeling with losing his mom and tie that into being in a, like, getting with someone.
You know, like, "I'm ti-
Mm-hmm
...
I'm holding onto you because I'm losing this." Like, he wanted to be very clear-
Yeah
... about separating his feelings.
That's something that I always really thought was very emotionally mature.
That's how I'm gonna say it.
We're close.
[laughs] We're close.
Uh, yeah.
That's it.
And then there's Gavin.
Nothing? You got nothing from Gavin? [laughs] You're just shaking your head.
Yvonne and Kenny were the two standouts for episode one for me, of the newbies.
We got a lot of Amanda, like, her telling Yvonne to turkey baster it.
I know she like thinks that's funny, I guess.
But I'm like, "Are you capable of giving good advice?"
Who said that?
Yvonne was like, "I don't know.
He keeps changing his mind about when he wants to ha- like, about having a baby and, like, every time I bring it up, he changes the subject." And Amanda was like, "Isn't sperm live for 72 hours inside of you? Just turkey baster it."
I need her to-
I was like, this-
Mm-mm.
What?
I need her to, to put that raincoat back on and disappear.
[laughs]
That's what I need.
That's what I need, right? That's what I need.
I'm like, can y'all edit her out a little bit?
That's what I need.
I will say this, with Gavin, what I did not like is Kenny is your best friend.
Why are you talking about this like this? Why are you saying, "Oh, these are the stages of grief"? Like, I guess he was trying to be funny, but I'm like, that's also your friend, you know, who lost his brother.
It was funny.
Who lost his brother.
But I would've been pissed-
Yeah, like, he-
...
if I was, if I was Kenny
...
Kenny handled it well.
Kenny handled it well.
And I mean, maybe that's the-
No, he laughed
... that's the type of friendship they have.
Everyone laughed.
But-
I think also he was trying to break up the tension a little bit with Lindsay, 'cause Lindsay came in hot.
Lindsay came in hot-
So-
... and said, "These are just logical questions." Lindsay came in hot-
[laughs]
... and then Kenny ca- was right back with, "I'm getting man hater vibes." Is that what he said? "I'm getting man hater vibes," or something like that about Lindsay.
Yeah, and she was like, "I just don't have..." What'd she say? "I don't have-"
Annoying men-
"... patience"
... like for annoying men or something like that.
Yeah.
So, like, we're getting the dynamics here.
Like, you're already seeing-
Yeah, I was like, okay
... what's, like, who's gonna get along with who.
So I thought that was interesting.
Who's friends with who? Who's gonna rub-
Yeah.
Well-
I, I, I knew Kenny for five seconds and knew that him and Lindsay, they might get along, but they're definitely gonna bump heads.
Kenny would never date a Lindsay.Kenny would never date a Linda.
Yeah.
Um, well, I, that's it for In the City.
I, you know, Callie gave it a five, I gave it a seven.
I, I, I think we both enjoyed it enough to be our interest is piqued and, um, you know, we'll see, we'll see what happens.
We'll definitely keep watching.
Yeah, yeah.
I, and, and I think, like, we should have some predictions of what we think is gonna happen, 'cause there's so much, you know, that we, um...
There's so much that we know is coming, and the question is, how is it gonna play out? And then even us saying, "Oh, you can tell that these are two aren't gonna get along, and maybe this might happen." We should do a little predictions.
We'll see.
Well, hmm.
Okay.
If you're feeling worked up after all of that, same.
But then I took a sip of the new McDonald's drinks, like the strawberry watermelon refresher, or my personal fave, mango pineapple, and I was like, "Okay, maybe everything isn't falling apart, just the cast." So whether you're debriefing after a full binge with something tropical and caffeinated, or you need an emotional support soda with yummy cold foam, McDonald's has options.
Try all the new drinks now at McDonald's.
Okay, real quick before we get outta here.
The Valley, it was on...
Ugh.
I don't-
Your thoughts.
I, there's...
I only have one thought for that show right now.
What is it?
And it's that Danny sucks.
[laughs] He does.
Like, it was bad last episode, and this episode really just drove it on home.
But I am enjoying it more.
But he's n- not in a good place.
Yeah.
D- y- you, you took the words out of my mouth.
I mean, what, what more is there to say? I don't care if you put out a fucking statement.
It's, like, too late.
And backed out of Watch What Happens Live.
Yeah.
Like, what...
I need to see a change, you know? I need to see a change.
But there were so many things.
There were so many things.
But you took the words out of...
Danny sucks.
Put that on a T-shirt.
[laughs]
Um, all right.
That is it for us here on Morally Corrupt.
I hope you guys enjoyed it.
Big week next week.
Big week every week.
