So yes, we want to taste and see that the Lord is good and sample those chocolates.

And you talk about in the book that knowing God and delighting in Him go hand in hand.

Oh, I love that you picked up on that, Candice, because knowing God and delighting in him go hand in hand.

You said it beautifully because, you know, I think our greatest fear in the world as humans is to be known and not loved, known and not delighted in.

In other words, my great fear is that the more you get to know me, the more you're going to realize, well, you know, she's not really likable.

And that's kind of our fear with God is that he's going to know us so deeply he can't possibly like us.

Because if you think about who God is, he is theologically, by definition, the utmost, the uppermost in all things perfect.

There is nothing or no one who is... better, more good, has more goodness, if you will, or who is more delightful than God.

So God, by definition, is the superlative of all things good and perfect and beautiful and delightful.

Unlike us, right? There's all sorts of things about me that are not delightful, trust me.

So the more we know God, that means the more we enter into an experience of how delightful he really is and increasingly so forever.
