Carl MetcalfeGuestJoshHostCarl, one thing that I wanted to make sure to talk about was the 2.2 liter, like you said, because we don't see that a lot in the 4B11 world.
Yeah, well.

originally originally i was just going to do um rods and pistons so put a bigger turbo on it and um and just you know push push the power up a little bit and this was the next stage up from doing the evo 10 turbo swap the tdo5 swap so i wanted to go a bit bigger and you know jamie devo tune recommended look you know if you want to go sort of a bit further you really should
do rods and pistons but

Seeing I kept on top of the maintenance when we tore the motor down, there was copper showing through on the shells, on the bottom end bearings.

Um, so we decided to put the stroker crank in, uh, obviously the motor needed a rebar.

And just, just went with the 2.2 stroker, which 2.2 stroker, instead of just building it back up as a two liter.

Um, so yeah, they had, they had, they had a, they had a stroke kit in stock at, uh, I think it was at Rossport in the UK.

Um, I said to Jamie, I said, what's the, what's the downside? He said, well, none really.

So yeah, we, uh, we, we just, we decided just to get the full kit and, and, and go with a 2.2 stroper and just see, see where we could go from there.

And this is where the build grew legs as the, um, the turbo I had to go on it.

Um, was going to be, basically, with it being a 2.2 and we're moving a bit more air, we would have run out of puff with the turbo a little bit too soon.

So we decided to go with the GMF manifold kit and a precision 55-58 originally.

Obviously, we looked at other options and what have you, but we thought that would have been the best route.
