Well, the main premise for this particular podcast is to do the postmortem on the fateful decision that we talked about in the June podcast for me to go ahead and build a massive subterranean staging yard.

And being the optimist that I am, despite all of the slings and arrows of 70 years of living, I figured, yeah, A couple of weeks to be able to knock that off.

And it took 29 knock-down, drag-out days to build it.

Now, I will say that's the calendar.

So I had that op session early August.

That was like an afternoon op session.

And I invited you, but you couldn't make it.

That night I started on the project.

So, I mean, I wasn't letting any grass grow under my feet there.

I had this massive amount of stuff.

I had 29 five-packs of Walther's FlexTrack.

And how many turnouts did I have? Like 14 turnouts.

And

many, many, many packages of what I quickly found out were the wrong rail joiners.

So then I did a fast order and got many, many, many more packages of the right rail joiners.

So if anybody needs rail joiners, I'm your guy.

You want to talk to me.

I can supply rail joiners.

But when you do a project like this, it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it,

right? Without question.

And, you know, I did a lot of estimating on the materials needed for this project.

And a lot because I thought, geez, you know, this is really like the last giant thing that I'm building and, you know, unusual materials.
