Is AI coming for our job?

Right.

So I admit, I use ChatGPT on a regular basis for certain things.

It's a lot faster finding that.

The trick is you can't always believe what it tells you.

Right.

Right.

So I decided to ask GPT.

Now, of course, there's other AI programs out there, right? But that's the one that I most frequently visit.

Right.

I just simply asked it, can you give me instructions on how to do home repairs? I asked it for specific examples, electrical plumbing, painting, and woodwork.

Okay.

And what we're going to go through right now is Chad's response to me in, now here's the key, this took it almost 30 seconds.

Wow.

So it's scary.

But now we're going to go through this and point out some things that worries me.

Okay.

Some

cautionary things, right? All right.

Chat GPT came back, said, yeah, I can help many homeowners repair maintenance tasks by providing step-by-step instructions, safety precautions, required tools and materials, troubleshooting guides, diagrams and illustrations that I can create.

In other words, not just lift them off the interweb, it can create the diagrams and illustrations.

Product recommendations, links to manufacturer instructions, video tutorials, reputable sources, and helping interpreting photos you upload.

That one blew my mind.

So anything involving electrical, gas, structural modifications, roofing, life safety, provide guidance within safety limits, and will tell you when a licensed professional is recommended.

I mean, there is an error caution to this.

Sure.
