#74 - Perek Hei C - Mesilas Yesharim Explained

Ki Hinei, the Maseel Hashem continues, HaYei Tzahara Be'emet Chazak Hu Ba'ad HaMoed.

It's very Chazak, the Yei Tzahara.

If you don't relate to that line, take a second.

Pause the thing and think about it.

I know my Yitzhar is chazak hu mo'od.

Now, not only is it chazak, without the knowledge of a person, it slowly works its way in and overwhelms a person and controls him.

Wow, what eloquence.

So that's the way of the Yitzhar.

One, he's very, very chazak.

Very chazak.

And two, Through that chozek, he gets in without even realizing it.

And he controls you suddenly.

Why am I acting like that? Why am I doing that? Why can't I speak nicely to my wife? Why can't I put my phone down? Why can't I eat less? Why can't I spend my time better? Why am I endlessly scrolling through things which don't make any difference? Why do I care what about my neighbor's biscotti? Why am I not saying to him, what am I doing? There's a shlita, a shalat.

In Hebrew, it's like a controller.

That's the thing that goes on the...

The air condition is the shalat.

Sholayt.

Sholayt b'medina.

Misholayt b'medina.

A person can try every other thing that we did, and we mentioned all those things, meditation, therapy, chassidus, musa, etc.

You do all the tachbulot, but you're not taking the antidote, man.

And you won't feel Here's the point.

You won't know and you won't feel.

You're getting sicker and sicker and you don't even think about it.

It's so scary when he says that.
