Building on the Foundation

So building on your foundations, if you look at a skyscraper, what you don't see is how far down they had to go to make sure that the foundation was firm, solid.

Pastor might know, but I've heard at times that if the skyscrapers say 50 feet, they go down at least 100, okay? And I don't know how true that is.

I'm not an engineer.

But sometimes they double it because they never know if they're going to have to go up more, which they can add more floors, you know? I work at a chemical plant, and when they were building this plant, they would dig, I mean, holes, and they would add a tower, and the tower might be 20 feet, and they were going in 30, 40 feet down.

Because we don't see that.

All we see is a tower.

And what we see on the outside, it's no different with us.

It's what I'm getting at.

Where are you rooted? Where are you grounded in your words with the Lord? Where is your foundation grounded? set if i were to use this just after a while i could start putting stuff on top and just keep going and and that's a good solid foundation but but this isn't as solid as that you follow me this this will tip over this is real flimsy it's no different with us are you on solid foundation are you on sinking sand It's what I'm getting at.

It's important for you to know that the better I'm going to be is because of what I'm reading in here and what I'm listening to.

And anywhere you go.

Now, don't get me wrong.

I used to listen to it too, a lot of that music.

But what I didn't understand is how important that music was getting into me.

When I got married, my wife, Karen, all she listened to was KSBJ.

When she'd get in the car with me, we were just dating, when she'd get in the car with me, she wouldn't change my radio station.

I'd listen to K-L-O-L and K-R-B-E and all these other stations.

You know? Sinners! Sinners! Just teasing.

But what I'm saying is she would never tell me anything.

But when I'd get into her car, I'd try to change the radio station.

She'd go, hey, hey, when I get in your car, I don't change it.

You're not changing it for mine.

And she would have it on KSBJ 89.3. And I'm like, OK.

After a while, I'm like, you know, all this Jesus music.
