Everything I do for the Lord, everything I do for anything in the ministry or anything I do blessing people, it just seems I st- end up getting in a dry spot and a dry spell, and I'm thinking, "Lord, why?" But He says, "It's just a, a situation you're going through.
There's always gonna be dry seasons." Pastor Gills and I talked last year, and we talked about the ministry, and he says, "There's always ups and downs, ups and downs, ups and downs, how many people come in, how many people go out," so on and so forth.
Gotta keep going." And I said, "Okay." You know, you, you ask people for wisdom, the people that have been through it.
You don't just go ask some guy at work, "Man, I don't know why my ministry's not working," or whatever this, "It's not going right." You ask another pastor, "What are we doing? What do we need to change? How are things looking?" So on and so forth.
And so I said, "God, I want a word for our, for our men for this year, and I want you to stay with this word.
I mean, I, I want you to look at it and, and listen to it, and I want you to read it." And this is what He told me.
And I said, "Lord, show me a scripture." And He says, "All right, go to 1 Chronicles." That's what He told me.
He says, "Then the Philistines went and made a raid on Valley of, of Rephaim, and David inquired of God, 'Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hands?' The Lord said to him, 'Go up, for I will deliver them into your hands.' So they went up to Baal-perazim, and David defeated them there.
Then David said, 'God has broken through my enemies by my hand like a breakthrough of water.' Therefore they called the name of that place Baal-perazim." And the thing is, is what I wanted to show you, and, and, and, uh, and that was on the King James Version.
The, uh, New Living Translation says this, "The Philistines arrived made a raid in the valley.
