I saw myself crying because I was feeling really emotional in a really happy way.

Taninha moved with her family to Port Townsend in 2018, where her husband grew up.
Their kid was in preschool for the first time, and Taninha sat down with some tea and her phone and found a photo of a tiny weaving on Pinterest.

It's funny, I had some yarn from my, my studio in a box, and I had to dig for that.

And I didn't have any loom, so I looked for a piece of cardboard around the house, and I cut it.

And as I was, like, wrapping it with yarn, I remember four and a half hours going by and, like, it felt like a half an hour.

... and, uh, and I had to stop, and I didn't wanna stop, so I was kind of fighting with that feeling like, "Oh, my gosh, this is so good-"

"... and I, I don't wanna stop, but I have to, I have to take a break and go pick up my kid at school." But then when I thought about it later, I was like, "What was that?"

I sat down, four and a half hours flew by, and I made something really sweet that when my kids got home, they were like, "Mom, this is so cute.

Make another one." And I remember that week, every day after dropping him off, I would come home and make a new one.
