The Mizbeach also keeps kosher, gid hanashe b'mukdashim, chulin daf tzadik amud bet.

We'll understand as we go through this the idea, and we've used this before in our, in our learning, that food is fuel, and that's how we're meant to look at, at fuel.

And we've talked about the word of ukal in the case of the burning bush, hasne bo'er beish ve'eino, ve'eino ukal.

That the, uh, word achila means the consumption of fuel for the purposes of energy.

Uh, and it's very important in our whole relationship to, to food and to eating to understand that element of it.

And as such, we talk about the Mizbeach, about the altar also as being ochel, that it eats.

The Mizbeach is an energy generator in the Beis Hamikdash in ways we don't fully understand, but it gives a whole energy to the world.

From the Mizbeach through to the Beis Hamikdash, to Yerushalayim, to Eretz Yisrael, and out to the world, it's a generator of massive spiritual energy and is fueled by the korbonot, by the sacrifices that we bring on the, on the Mizbeach.

And we know that the, the wood is, is part of those sacrifices and so, so is the, all the various animals, the meat that we put on the Mizbeach.

And that's a very unique, uh, approach to the idea of sacrifice, the idea of korban, which is so different from, uh, all the other cultures of, of the time.
