Sierra Art Trails opens this weekend with its 23rd annual exhibit, giving locals and visitors a chance to meet artists in person, ask questions, and buy original work directly from the people who made it.

The open studio tour runs Friday through Sunday, October 2nd through 4th, and again October 9th through 11th, with 68 artists participating.

Organizers say not every artist will be open every day or both weekends, so visitors are being encouraged to check the catalog before heading out.

A preview exhibit is already open through October 11 at Stellar Gallery in the Yosemite Gateway Art Center at 40982 Highway 41 in Oakhurst, featuring a representative piece from each participating artist to help people plan their route.

This year's event also highlights younger artists, with two student group shows and five sponsored students taking part.

Chloe Emery created the 2026 catalog cover with her acrylic self-portrait, Deep Melodies, showing herself playing bass.

Sierra Art Trails president John Bock says the nonprofit is excited to host the annual exhibit and continue connecting the community with working artists across the region.
