Ministry of the Holy Spirit part 4

We talked about the ministry of the Holy Spirit within the Trinity, applying the will of God.

And remember, the Trinity is a complete harmony.

There's no hierarchy in the Trinity.

There is harmony.

The Father decrees, the Son accomplishes, and the Holy Spirit applies the work of the Trinity.

So they're a team, a cohesive team, to carry out God's plan, not only on earth, but throughout the cosmos.

We see it in creation.

We see it in salvation.

We even saw the Trinity at Jesus' baptism, and we talked about that last week.

Then we talked about how the Holy Spirit has a ministry restraining evil in the world.

Last week we talked about how the Holy Spirit has a special ministry to Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit was there at conception.

The Holy Spirit was there ministering to Jesus at baptism.

And remember, there were no miracles of Jesus until after the Holy Spirit came upon Jesus at baptism.

The Holy Spirit empowered those miracles.

The Holy Spirit was with Jesus in his preaching.

The Holy Spirit was with Jesus in his carrying out kindness and compassion to the to all those he came into contact with.

The Holy Spirit was with Jesus, comforting him in the Garden of Gethsemane.

He was there ensuring and lifting up Jesus during the temptation in the wilderness.

The Holy Spirit was with Jesus when he was on the cross, and the Holy Spirit was with Jesus.

because the Bible says the Spirit rose Jesus from the grave.
