TGIF GALS! Feeling stuck even though you’re doing everything “right”? In this solo episode, we’re breaking down what a true plateau actually is and what to do when your progress stalls- from auditing…
I have a little bit of health anxiety sometimes, and I think that when someone is picking apart your body, one of the ways that I, like, internalize that is, "Oh, no, am I not...
Like, do I need to get blood work done? Am I at my most, you know, optimally healthy self?" Like, I just always, you know, wanna make sure that the, the internal aspect of my body is also as healthy as the external.
I got every test you could possibly get, and then I got a thyroid ultrasound.
I got my hormones tested again, and I'm happy to give you guys great news that my blood work is the best it's ever been.
And coming from someone who has been, you know, diagnosed with hypothyroidism in the past, I am not on, on any thyroid medication.
I haven't been for the past almost two years now, and I'm just so happy that my thyroid is happy because the thyroid is kind of like the nucleus of your hormones.
Everything is really good, and it just makes me feel good and healthy and gives me a lot of peace of mind.
'Cause when you're being picked apart online for 100 different things, I think it can start to spiral you mentally and you might like think, "Oh no, do I have this? Do I have that? Is this healthy? Is this not healthy?" So I just love data, and I went and got...
I went to my doctor, like I said, got the full blood work done, and then I ended up getting an, a thyroid ultrasound.
What I'm gonna talk about right now is I posted a video on TikTok, and a really sweet girl commented and said in the nicest way, she's like, "Hey, love your videos.
Have you thought about getting it tested or getting an ultrasound?" And I saw that comment and I was like, "Huh, I haven't ever had a thyroid ultrasound," but I do have a tiny little lump on my thyroid, and I've noticed it before.
I actually noticed it like two months ago, and I remember I got it right after being really sick.
Like, I had a really bad cold, so I thought it was maybe just like inflammation or I don't know.
And then when she said that, I was like, "Okay, I'm gonna clock that and I'm gonna just get an ultrasound," because I've had thyroid problems in the past.
