So today we're having our quickie with Gen Z virgins, Olivia Wilde and latex and loneliness influencers.

The Kinsey Institute, along with Playboy and Julie, just published a whole apocalyptic article on the Gen Z sex recession.

The young kids ages 18 to 29 specifically are basically not having sex or not as much sex as we think they should be having, whatever that means.

So basically, it was an online study with two thousand three hundred and seventy three, quote unquote, U.S. adults ages 18 to 29 to understand their attitudes and behaviors behind the so-called sex recession and how young adults are navigating sex, dating and relationships today.

29% had zero partners in the last three months, and 19% have never had a partner.

So this is like people 18 to 29, and the sample they took is called a representative sample.

So they tried to get pretty much the same mix of ethnicities and cultural factors as the general U.S. population, which is what makes this sample a little bit different than past... research on you know social science on like if gen z is having sex or not um which shout out to the kinsey institute shout

random and i love it not where you would expect the mecca of sex research to be at but yeah there it

is it's like berlin and bloomington it's like that's that's it you know yeah 18% have never had a sexual partner.

Are we talking about hand stuff? Are we talking about blowjobs? Are we just talking about intercourse? I've been digging a little bit deeper into what the researchers' definitions were, because it is really interesting when you ask people questions.

answer differently depending on their cultural backgrounds or you know it's like well I've never had a sex partner that to some people means someone you've had sex with consistently.

So when you look at like the questions they were really specific on how they were asking and what they were trying to get out of it which is which is good because like then we're all on the same page which makes it better.
