Friday Husker Tailgate/Oregon: Roundtable

Oh, it was awesome, but it wasn't.

Um, I mean, the atmosphere was electric.

That was really cool.

Yeah.

And there were a couple, like the Anthony Calandra touchdown in the fourth quarter-

Of course

...

the crowd pop, I mean, that, that should rank up there for any fan that's been going to games over the past 15 years or so.

Uh, 'cause that was a moment, up by 11-

Mm-hmm

... against, um, the defending national champions.

And I think there were a lot of people in their brains in, in that moment that thought it was gonna happen, but it didn't, uh, in, in the quick, the quickness of Indiana's response.

So I guess my overall takeaway was just kind of the day, the picture of the day, a sunny day, and, and, and even the scenes from Big Noon Kickoff were pretty remarkable.

Yeah.

[laughs]

I was not-

The aerial pictures, holy cow

...

I was not over there.

Um, I dropped off, uh, 1011's news crew that was covering Big Noon Kickoff.

So I was at the stadium, and that open shot on Fox of, you know, the, the camera that's above everybody-

Mm-hmm

... like, I even audibly said, "Wow," because I was there on Friday, and you could just tell, like, that, that's a great setup that Fox had for Big Noon Kickoff.

So I just think, like, my overwhelming takeaway from the Indiana game was about the scene and the way Nebraska showed out in terms of, uh, embracing the national spotlight, and it was fun.

As for the game, I know a lot of people pick, uh, point right to that Kyle Cunanan second quarter field goal that was missed.

Oh, it was awesome, but it wasn't.
