What was something completely unexpected as a challenge that you did not see coming? And maybe that was just it, but it took you a while to get your mind around how do you do this? How do you handle this?
The biggest thing is you get into four-game series in baseball and figuring out how to work your pitching staff.
So in conversations I have with coaching candidates that we interview, one of the first things I talk about is culture and how at Williams, the number one thing that we have expect of our athletic programs is the kind of culture that resonates with our mission.
So when you think about culture building for your baseball team, what does that look like? How do you go about building that?
big thing you have to do to build that culture is you have to recruit kids that want to buy into that culture.
Uh, we're very fortunate, you know, we'll focus, you know, we search social, we, we scour social media, you know, we look, I Google names, you know, I want to make sure we're not bringing guys in here that are going to be issues.
And the big part of our culture is, you know, comes out from those captains.
