Trish HersheyGuestSo Andrew, when I sent this topic over to you, we had a very brief exchange, a little bit about, about what this process looks like and how it manifests itself in our working lives.
The idea that, "Hey, I wanna move forward," and you find yourself stuck in some committees worth of conversations of just, "Well, go find this out," or, "Go find that information out," or, "What did this person say?" Next thing you know, it's been six months and nothing's taken place.
So this has been-- I wanna say this without actually saying it, but I'm gonna say it 'cause that's kinda who I am.
This is a bit of a soapbox topic for me, because I feel like I've lived my life, at least my professional life, at least my current professional life, I don't know how far current goes back, but for a while.
'Cause that's a moment when I go, "I know that I behaved this way." And it's the idea that you can't possibly know everything, ever.
So the premise is basically work with what you have, but have the humility or drop the ego to be able to assess it and go, "Well, that didn't work," and make an adjustment.
So there's four disciplines that build upon each other, each one picking up right where the other one leaves off.
So you start with thinking, and then you commit, and then you observe what actually happens, and then you adapt based on what you see.
