Darren JamesHostGood morning, fellas.
I've got an issue when I hook up to the car with Android Auto where the phone just gets really, really hot.
Yep.
I was wondering if there's any solutions or what am I doing wrong?

I'm just going to assume that you're not putting the phone on the dashboard of the car or anywhere in direct sunlight, direct heat, that kind of thing?
No,
on

And have you tried anything? Have you tried resetting the phone or anything like that so far as you're just noticing it's cooking? No.

So when Android Auto is running, and I have tested, I would say, about 12 different phones on Android Auto over the years, I noticed on one of them that it was getting very, very hot.

And what happens sometimes is your phone's working, and it's doing what it thinks it needs to do, and then there's an application on it that isn't working correctly because it's crashed, and it diverts a lot of processing power to try to fix the problem.

Now, that could be the Android Auto application when that's running on your phone, and your phone is over-sending processes processing focus at that application.

Now, you don't notice it running down your battery because the phone is actually plugged in to the system, so it's recharging as you're going.
