Because there are always so many new legends to be thinking about, top down building tends to dominate attention. But are there some tendencies we can think about with bottom up? Kyle sets up…
So the idea being that I, I think, and I'm curious if you feel the same, um, I think oftentimes as content creators, there's an impulse to do a lot of top-down building and brewing and talk about top-down brews on podcasts, i.e., what is this commander, this new hot, sexy legend? Then let me build a deck around what the legend is telling me to do or what the hooks are on that legend.
Okay.
But I don't feel like...
I mean, it's not like we don't talk about bottom up stuff, you know, where it's what's just the strategy I'm trying to build and then I'll attach a commander to it.
Yeah.
But I feel like the impulse is to the other side of top down.
Maybe I'm wrong about that, but it feels like that's the impulse with content creation a lot, especially those content creators that are like, let's stay on top of the new hotness.
Yeah.
Yeah.
so I don't know if you feel that way but I that's kind of my thought and I I want to spend some time getting into a particular subset of how you can think about selecting a commander for a bottom up build
okay
Um,
and so with that, should, should, can we harden our definition of these two? Like with like
top down
and
bottom up? Yeah.
Like let's,
let's, let's give that some clarity.
No, let's, let's give some, let's give that some clarity.
So tell me your thoughts on, on that because I'm, I know I have an idea in my brain as I'm setting this up, but how are you
ingesting that? I'm trying to come up with an analogy cause you know how, that's how I am.
Right.
Um, So I would say when we're talking about a top-down design for a commander deck, the commander has a specific ask that And, and won't help you at all if you don't follow through with that ask.
Yeah.
And I think it's not, I think, you know, like not to be like this, but I think that exists on a spectrum.
