Leave Us Alone with Grover Norquist

Are AI data centers driving up electricity prices and raising Americans' energy bills? Did President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill create special tax breaks for data centers? In this five-minute…
So you'll be shocked to hear that Democrats are lying to you about data centers.
We've been relying upon them for decades to support the entire internet ecosystem and the infrastructure that enables us to record this video today, as well as using email, online banking, cloud storage.
Literally everything that we do online depends on data centers being built somewhere.
So the lies we hear about how they're going to ruin the environment, how they're going to use up all the water, they tell consumers and homeowners that the cost of living is going to go up because of data centers in their area.
And they tell people who are concerned about water management and conservation that they're drinking all of the water.
Every group they can find, they come up with a reason as to why, left, right, or center, you should be against this.
Who is really against this? The answer is the enemies of progress and the friends of communist China.
So we have studies now that show trace back the funding for all of these disinformation and propaganda campaigns against data centers to the CCP.
I think it's interesting, though, that if you actually look at the claims they're making, almost none of them bear out to be true.
I think especially about the report in March from the Institute for Energy Research that found that there's no relationship at all between data centers and rising electricity costs.
Vermont is a state with no data centers at all, and it has among, if not the highest electricity costs in the entire country, depending on the month you're looking at.
When you look at Virginia, which has more data centers than any other state in America, Well, they're somewhere in the middle of the pack.
What is the real determining factor for the cost of electricity? It's grid management and access to energy.
This argument say, well, if there's nothing wrong with data centers, how about we build them in the rich areas first? And you go, oh, you mean like Loudoun County, Virginia, one of the richest counties in the entire country that has more data centers than anywhere else? And you've seen these efforts from Democrats.
And what does he do? He restricts opportunity zones for qualifying for data center construction, literally making the argument that if we're going to have growth, if we're going to have new jobs, if we're going to have higher wages...
That's exactly where we need economic growth, where we need higher wages and new jobs.
