If you want shorthand to how Robbie Savage wants to play football, it's Jurgen Klopp.

kind of heavy metal football is his ideal it was nowhere near that but that's his platonic ideal of football some really poor defending down the the wings from from Leicester I felt mostly throughout to be honest they looked a little bit shell-shocked they weren't that bad it In terms of the game, they have plenty of territory and shots.

There's just an absolute obsession with getting the ball in the six-yard box where there is really no need.

They could be letting go of the trigger from sort of... 18 yards or slightly on the corner of the box is the only one player to do that for them was Emil Rees.

I guess we can go into that because the headline news is to go on the positive angle because you've got two headlines, haven't you, really? You've got the Russell Martins in more and more trouble.

And then the other headline news is that we're all wrong and Robbie Savage and Darren McCanton, everything was right.

But obviously you scored a hatful in midweek in the AFL trophy and you think, well, it's under-21s team, so wait and see.

on Saturday and then you're going to score three more admittedly at least two of them you're putting down at defensive issues it's one of their own goals slightly unfortunate from a Leicester perspective the second goal I've watched that about five times and I still can't figure out who should have been marking Leonard and why no one had picked him up because he was just had the freedom of the entire penalty area almost to slot home that goal and sort of decent in the finishing and the first goal was very nice that is the one to pick out in terms of a positive goal for Peterborough but they obviously played very well they had 30% of the ball to be expected playing Peterborough playing Leicester who had 70% of it but doing enough with it 26 touches in the opposition box 1.52 on the XG 13 shots and 4 of those on target obviously the own goal doesn't count as a goal so out of the 4 shots on target 2 of them being goals for Peterborough so they are looking already much better than they did in terms of an attacking direction defensively well I'm not sure how huge of a test it is because as much as XG Leicester have they just never really put their chances away and that has been the story of their season so far 20 shots they had and just the four of them ended up on target so I guess we wait and see maybe on the defensive side of things but it is definitely the case that Robert Savage has got this team already in this first week or so looking more open in an attacking capacity and perhaps it is that they've been I mean your analysis on this would be interesting that maybe they're a bit freer and they feel like they can do it and that might be as much as important as any sort of tactical tweaks that it's more of a belief that they can go and score a couple of goals against

Robbie Savage came out and did a fist pump pre-match, right? And as cynical as this may sound, he has been brilliant.

Like from getting fans on side, from a media messaging, from an openness with the fans in terms of what's going to happen, the kind of football, we're going to concede chances, we're going to go for it.

And, you know, even Forest Greens and Macclesfield fans will tell you that he does do that and he is very well media trained.
