Like, y- you took the input and you, and you, y- it doesn't sound like you took that input and w- put your hackles up, which I think can happen for a lot of people, frankly.
I think, uh, I don't know that I wouldn't get my hackles up if somebody came back to me with a bunch of red lines o- all over something I wrote, right? I'm a salty girl.
He wanted me to take something out, and I said, I, I did push back a little bit and I said, "You know what? I really think this needs to stay in because..." And I told him.
And that was the only, um, that was the only, I wouldn't say disagreement, but different perspective that we had on the book.
And I guess where I'm going with this idea of you being coachable is I think we do need to be coachable when we're doing something that we've never done before, and we're doing it for the first time.
And I have this theory, and I don't know if it's right or substantiated by anything, but I feel like as we get older, it's harder to be coachable.
And we put up barriers around that because we want to look like we are, like we know what we're doing.
And it's harder and harder to be putting ourselves in the position of being a beginner.
